Do we need to revisit the 30 day loot timer?

I ask because there is no real good answer, but it seems
patently obvious to me that with 30 days as a timer several
things happen:
People run far to find cities, sometimes one rl session is
traveling. Then you spend another rl session (or more) looting
said city/locations, rl session to run back, then find another
city/etc etc etc.
Do we want to experiment with a lower timer to see if it
facilitates people residing and looting less locations? IN other
words, make people less nomadic in hopes it leads to more
conflict.
I see pros and cons with 30 days, and it is much better than 3
days. But it also may be counter productive...do we try 20 days?
or something else, just to see?

With the lootable container layout we have now I like the 30 day
loot timer we have now. I think it’s just about perfect. I think
the bug with the game days going back and forth is screwing up
the flow of the loot respawn though. But changing the timer
won’t help with that. We will just have to wait for them to fix
it.

Or change the timer to correlate what the 30 day timer is
supposed to be? Probably cant be done however HR is correct if
the containers are never going to respawn because we never get a
true 30 day cycle we are just going further and further out to
hunt for needed items.
I don't think HR (nor am I) suggest changing the 30 day cycle if
it works. However it doesn't so maybe some tweaking needs to
take place.

I also noticed that when he does a reset it really screws it up
also, like it resets it. IN light of the external and internal
factors, should we lower it a little?
And exactly Aknot, seems like we have to go further and further.
Madman I believe would like to reset it once a day to keep
memory leaks down, but this means no new loot.

Its day 48 right now that means loot reset earlier today. With
the clock messing up I think we are getting extra loot not less
I’ve been on when I’ve looted something the clock went backwards
then I looted it again. Also Hotrod and Aknot ya’ll have the
most online time on the sever(not that there’s anything wrong
with that) so of cores ya’ll should be having to go farther to
loot stuff if you’re on for 5-10 hours in a day. What do you
want to be able to loot the same city twice in one day? How
about 3 times in a day? 4? Right now loot respawns once every
day at a different time I think that works out perfect. There is
nowhere near any kind of shortage of loot. There are items that
have a much lower drop rate but that is intended by the
developers and without it there would be no need to keep playing
after you had everything in the first five days after a fresh
wipe. What could you possibly be short on that you would want
loot increased? I have no trouble finding loot maybe your just
having a run of bad luck.

The 30 day loot timer is killing me, I've wandered off and found
another server in the meanwhile, but I miss this one. Set it
back to two weeks is my vote.

Also, don't know if it has anything to do with the loot respawn,
but I don't think I've seen Armagedon on as much, either.

A lower drop rate and a respawnging loot container are two
different things. I understand this and I will venture to guess
HR does also. I tried to be cordial and I will try one more
time.
If HR and I are on the longest it would be logical to assume we
would know better by having experienced it more.
The containers to the best of my knowledge (and experience being
on the longest) do not spit out more loot based on the apparent
inadvertent roll backs.
However I will make sure I test that out next time Im on and it
happens.

Never said what kind or items your short on. What loot are you
having problems finding.

Well that's not the issue im bringing up. I don't know about HR.
Im just saying overall it appears because of the resets the
loot/respawn cycle is broken.
It could be food it could be weapon parts it could be ammo etc.
The type of loot is not in question (at least from me). We are
trying the 30 day loot respawn and loot is not respawning (again
in my experience) every 30 days. Something is broke so we are
looking at way to possibly address it.
While going out further is a solution it is not indicative of
"fun" play to some. You spend an inordinate amount of time going
out further each cycle because the cycle is broke.
