Alternatively (sorry I'm amped on too much coffee today) :o ...
We could invite everyone to collaboratively build out sections
of GZ town as PvP bunkers which I think would be great fun. Pick
a random run-down rubble section or block and "Claim it" on the
map with a marker (we could even make some sort of interactive
map of GZ town here on the forum).
You don't necessarily have to 'live' there....just make that
your pvp fort... simple, reinforced...a few supply lockers or
chests, that's it. Then, when we have "Fight Night" or whatever,
everyone grabs a sleeping bag, heads to GZ Town and plops down
their sleeping bag for a night of fun fighting in town. The only
people that would suck for are those who are building a fort
(home) at like 25-40k out in the boonies lol.
This same concept could be played out in any of the random
cities that spawn on the map. Last map had 4-5 reported 'cities'
out there....lots of towns for good PvP building! But, until we
have a stable game and map that stays dynamic instead of being
wiped, we can't really plan much yet.

right, it is new and novel and most everyone is enjoying the new
found travel freedom. As she said, it will change organically.
Once the newness of infinite world wears off, most people will
begin to move closer to one central area. There will always be
that one or two people that enjoy playing antisocially but for
the most part this "nomad-ism" will wear off. We will be trading
and killing each other before you know it. ;)

       Oh fine.....now I'm antisocial am I? ;D
I may have to let Mr. Crossbow fly a "Howdy Neighbor" bolt in
your general direction. Just so I get in some socializing. 8)

I’d have to disagree here. First a week and a half with Random
Infinite Worlds is not long enough to start wanting to put
limits on it. If you want to stay near GZ then set up shop no
one’s stopping you. Second this is just a step along the path,
soon as we get cars it will feel like we are all on top of each
other again. Also we are playing the game with training wheels
on and still have not taken it to its full potential. Random Gen
was not meant to have RESPAWNING LOOT. You want people to
interact make that gun safe only have one set of loot in it. If
someone can set up next to a city biome and loot the same sh!t
everyday why would they ever need to interact with someone else?
You want people to want to make a community then you must give
them a reason to. When you have no food and no ammo and
surrounded by the undead you will be looking for friends fast. I
know ya’ll think no loot respawn will make us spread out but I
still disagree. Diversity and limited resources have always
brought people together, wither that was by war or alliances. If
we want a better game community we can either throw us all in a
box or make our looting resources finite. That’s my thought.

Not to sound antisocial but Multiplayer Online Games means just
that.... Multiple Players Online Playing a game. No one has to
play together...... I make it part of the game to avoid people
for the better part except when it comes to trading etc.
If you want to interact with others please feel free to post the
coordinates of your base. Im sure there are a few here that once
they are ready would love to pay you a visit and socialize.
So why don't I play the single player game? Well one thing is my
will power to just toss cheats on is the big one. Second is the
'chatter'. Third is finding out new things and ways to do
       things.
So while I am interacting with everyone we do not have to meet,
sit down and have a jar of honey.

I don't think you sound antisocial. I want you as well as anyone
else to feel welcomed and at home here. Everyone has their own
style of play. There is no right or wrong way to play. :)

And keep in mind random gen is new, with builds coming out quite
often. We actually want people spreading out, exploring, and
building so that we can continue to improve the game.
PVP will not be a focus until things settle down: I believe. I
would offer the opinion that if your base is going to be
non-raidable there is no reason to build in the boonies other
than being ganked when you forage.

I agree and think those like Aknot who just like to roam the map
and chat once in awhile, maybe do a trade or shoot a few bullets
at someone in passing (hehe) definitely have a welcome home on
       our Ground Zero server!
Hell I'm antisocial half the time, I'm a moody female I admit
it. Sometimes I like to play games to 'get away' from
socializing and sometimes I want to socialize, team up, do stuff
       together.
