The south lands explained ?

so ive been dabbling with venturing into the south
and it seems there may be some subtle things i havent seen/read
about
when im in the south east and travel west i get a message about
entering/leaving PvP zone when crossing the east/west 0 line....
is pvp only one corner and not the whole bottom ?
when wandering in the south west side i found the remains/starts
of a small base/outpost but was unable to damage any of the
blocks in any way even though i should have been in the PvP area
does the PvP border vary ? or should it be a fairly straight
line ?
any clarification would be great before i got shooting someone
when i shouldnt ... or thinking im safe when im not lol !

That shouldn't be happening. Taking a look now. North is PvE,
South is Pvp.

It should be fixed now. Please let me know if you still see an

havnt seen any phantom pvp/pve borders again yet so thats good
but what about bases that give the raid protection sound while
the person is still online ?
i just feel like im being noob and missing some key point here
lol
maybe they have a partner and that guy is offline or something

LCB protection is infinite when offline but 4x regular
protection when online so you will always hear a "ping".
