Land Claim Offline Modifier (18.3)

I know we've waited years for TFP to address the bug of the LCB
offline modifier not functioning properly.
They have recently released notes about build 18.3 EXP that has
specific changes to address LCB offline modifier settings. It
seems like the right opportunity to try to test that to make
sure it finally works as advertised. Since they are specifically
calling that setting out, if we reported it as not working in
the bug thread of that specific build it seems like they might
finally notice it.
And then, assuming that the bug finally IS fixed, it would open
up the possibility of preferred settings for GZ servers since
that could materially change/improve gameplay for PVP in the
south.
I'm sure there are a wide variety of opinions on the subject.
Mine is that the biggest factor against PVP is the fact that
most base raiding only occurs when the owner of the base being
raided is offline. It's the "vacation penalty" no matter how you
design a base, there isn't a way to keep raiding players out of
it if you are taking your family on a 4 day vacation. A
dedicated looter with unlimited time can always overcome any
base design. No real skill involved--simply a question of having
more time to kill than someone else.
On the other hand, I've always thought that if you are
brave/skilled enough to break into a player base while that
player is online, you've definitely earned whatever you manage
to loot.
I'd be in favor of LCB settings that were infinite while
offline, but zero while online.
Changes the nature of PVP, encourages player interaction,
eliminates the vacation penalty.
In previous builds, the bug kept us from even considering this
as a setup, but if they finally have fixed it, it might be worth
having the conversation?

We'll take a look when it hits stable.
