World Not Found error

Happened when joining the server for the first time after the
a17 second wipe. (the one to get a larger worldmap)

After trying a number of times, I no longer get this message but
cannot connect. It originally downloaded the world info, and
again the second time. Now it hangs on initializing world. I'll
try again tomorrow. Nice to see the server up already.

It is normal to hang on Initializing World for several minutes.
That's part of everyone's loading process now. Some people can
get in only after a few minutes, some it takes 10 or so to get
in. Certainly not ideal, but doesn't take as long as it did
before the most recent patch for A17.

decide to come back on the server after waiting for alpha 17 and
wow load times are crazy long and i have pretty good pc ,then i
get this same error after loading world takes like 10mins
guess ill go back to SP till the improve server loading /issues

The first time you load a map, it takes a long time. You have to
download it and then wait for it to all finish. After that, it's
much faster to login. Maybe a minute or two at the most. How
long is it taking you to get into the server? It's considerably
faster now then it was when a17 first came out.

finally got on yea alpha 17 worlds are small hey cannot wait
till they imptrove the rgw theres nothing in the wilderness (-
going to run round for a bit
