A17 Delayed, Server Population is Dismal, Starting New Seed

So the title pretty much says it all. The devs have now changed
the estimated release date of A17 from August to "It's done when
it's done."

And let's face it, the server has been pretty much dead lately.
I rarely see more than 2 or 3 people on at the same time. The
server was completely empty for most of the morning. Due to
these facts, I have decided to start a fresh seed in an effort
to breathe new life into the server as it always does. I will
do this during the day tomorrow while I am at work. I will be
keeping a copy of the current seed and make it available to
anyone that wishes to have it.

I was gonna tell you that you used do instead of due... chuckle.
I am hoping sooner or later some PvE players realize they could
band together and come south. There is no way I can compete
resource-wise with multiple people, especially if it goes 4 or
more. Just be smart and build your bases to protect land claims
and valuables; travel together if you need to and lay sleeping
bags as you go farther from bases.
If say 6 people chose to gather resources (it can be in the
north) and build south I couldn't keep up.
And odds are if there are multiple people out and about
together I doubt I could take 3; I'd have to retreat so just
regroup if shot and if you have sleeping bags you should be
fine.
The number 1 killer in this game is complacency.
And what do you have to lose anyway? You may die some but with
A17 or the next seed it all resets; you figure at least once in
several years you could try it and see if you can rise to the
challenge.
And if it isn't for you then try just foraging into southern
cities to add tension without a risk to your base. Whatever you
do...have fun!
It's just a game and you aren't losing shi in RL.

Ya, some people should take the trip south .. just to see if its
fun.
I'm having fun in the North ... building and exploring. I suck
at FPS against non-bots.
I'm a slow learner just having fun up north. Which is why I
love this server. Well kept, well run, fair and no cheats.

I'm average at FPS also and could never achieve a 1 KD ratio.
But this game involves strategy and I was a world class #1 in
fact there.

That was extremely sudden :(
On the bright side, I spawned right next to a large lake. I'm
now going to rebuild the lake city. Any suggestions on the
name? I'm thinking of naming it Start Point to try and attract
new players.

Previous seed told you if you were entering a regen city, but
I've not seen that this time. Are they all non-regen?
I like to clean/rebuild and don't want to get established
somewhere that will regen.

All cities and towns in the North are potentially regen now.
Only cities and towns designated by the server as buildable are
not regen. And of course, you can build in any city and town in
the South.
