Server Problems

As some of you already know, It seems all of the player made
vending machines have become corrupted along with the land claim
blocks. Also, friend lists have somehow deleted so it is now
possible to accidentally injure or kill your friend while
playing. The friend issue can be resolved by re-friending those
you play with.
While it is relatively simple to replace land claims (break down
with pick axe or another tool, pick the block back up and place
it again), it is another story entirely when it comes to vending
machines. These create errors, lag the server and bug out the
players being affected. The only way to fix the vending
machines is to go through and try to find every player made
vending machine on the server and destroy them one at a time.
This also destroys all of their contents. Even if I can
accomplish this, it still does not guarantee that everything
will be fine. The server has already crashed several times over
the last 18 or so hours.
For some unknown reason, the server suffered a major corruption.
At this point, I am just running around slapping bandaids on
every new problem as it pops up. I am testing saved server files
now to see if I can correct the corruption. I may need to roll
back the server a day or two. But, I won't don't anything until
I am relatively certain that such a drastic measure will work.
I will post here when I know more.

Okay, replacing with backed up server files did NOT correct the
issues. This would lead me to believe that corruptions exist
elsewhere in the code of the game. The only thing that would fix
this now would be a complete server wipe. Since I am certain
most of you would not like to see that happen, I will just have
to go around and destroy the bugged vending machines and hope
further corruptions do not continue. Not much else can be done
at this point. Server is back up.

lol i'm waiting for a reseed personally i came back to pc games
well into this seed and couldn't find an engine and many other
resources i relied on for my survival such as whole towns being
camped and never finding anything to loot. it took me many many
more hrs of game play to get to where i was than it has ever
taken me before so i'm hoping for a new seed soon i don't like
to have to buy everything like i had to to get where i was
anyway best wishes on the fix

The only problem I've run into like that is with small engines.
For some reason, people think it's okay to wrench a lootable
car, thereby destroying a source for them. Beyond that, the
towns I live near are generally good for looting.

The hub city at 0,0 gets reset often to allow for a continual
source of cars and loot. It's just riskier because it is a PvP
area. But, with risk comes reward. ;)

you kinda have to wrench the cars to get an engine unless you
get very lucky and find one in a crate and if i remember correct
from modding 7dtd the default loot table of a car the engine
comes from stage 2 of the car so you almost have to destroy the
car or at least to the point it is no longer loot able in stage
3 where the car becomes a husk so i get why people wrench the
cars but for someone just joining the server after say day 50
your chances of finding cars are low and after say day 100
nearly impossible to find in a few kilometers of a random start
spawn and as a new player moving more than that is very hard on
foot with very limited supply's

They are not that rare in garage or car part boxes, just find a
gas station or garage and loot it regularly. You can get lucky
and get a full chainsaw/auger from a hardware crate and taking
it apart for the engine. Some other crates have a chance to
spawn it iirc.
I started around day 800 and had no trouble finding them.
That said, if a wipe is what we need to avoid server issues then
so be it.

Im waiting for a new seed too I think. Got raided again, this
time north. Base looted and bike jacked.
