I noticed a little big of laggy/jerkyness as well.
Turning Shadows distance down helped.

Good to know. I'll try that. thanks. It is completely playable
as it is just annoying and a step backwards to me.

I'll concur on the shadows. If I set to HIGH I noticed a
"slight" stagger here and there. When I dropped to MIDDLE it
went back to smooth. Playing with 8X anti-alias and VIEW and LOD
maxed.....Still smooth.
