Unlimited brass & metal scrap! Items duping

While crafting today, I realized that if you craft brass items
(say 10 trophies) into brass scrap and leave them to be moved
over automatically when you craft (1) metal item (say 1 hubcap),
the (10) brass move over and the scrap metal becomes (10) as
well. At that point you could put (1) scrap brass in the
crafting grid and it moves the (10) metal over and is replaced
by (11) brass. This can be done over and over for unlimited
scrap metal & brass.
I went to other servers and found that this cannot be done if
the slow crafting is on. We will want to make sure this is fixed
in the update or switch to the slower crafting. IMO

Item duping is the quickest way to game boredom. Feels good
until a person is all fat and bloating with their brass horde.
Then they start wanting to pass it around to friends until they
are bloated too.

Yeah agreed!
I was wondering why people leave so much brass in containers.
Perhaps this is a well known item dupe.

It is well known. It also works in single player and worked on
slow craft when i checked.

I remember before coming to this server and just starting out I
would ALT/Tab a lot reading on what items could make what etc.
Needless to say I was quite amazed at the amount of stuff I got
out of ore etc and it always threw me off trying to figure why
some times 1 ore would net 2 bars and other times it would net 4
or more......
Thats like the air drops that would double its output.... never
really noticed it.....

Huh never heard of this dupe until this moment. So I gotta
wonder, is it really a problem on this server? To be honest I'm
really not that concerned.

I checked 2 other servers and when slow crafting is on this item
duplicating method does not work.
Really? So all you have to do in this game is find 1 brass item
and 1 metal scrap and you will never need to mine for iron or
collect brass again ever and it’s of no concern? Okay

Yeah really it's not. I trust the other players on this server
to abide by the spirit of the game and have yet to be
disappointed.
Why should I be concerned about you?

You will find that doing dups like that will make the game less
enjoyable very quickly and you will lose interest in the build
that much faster.

I was unaware of this, and when I just tried it, I couldn't make
