If you look through the posts and announcements on our forum, we
ALWAYS try to give a heads up about an upcoming wipe when
possible. It was my fault that the wipe occurred so abruptly as
I had restarted the server while unbeknownst to me, h0tr0d was
working on the files. So if anyone is to blame this time, it is
me. It was an honest mistake and for that I am sorry.
However, this upcoming "patch" would have required a wipe
regardless of what we were told initially by the devs. A16
stable was not stable by any stretch of the imagination. All you
have to do is look at all of the complaints on the official
forums and our own experiences for proof of that. We have had to
do restarts every few hours just to keep the damn thing running
since A16 hit.
If you choose to leave the server over a VERY rare incident in
an otherwise EXTREMELY reliable server, that is your choice.
But, I would certainly hope you consider our overwhelming
reliability and successful history for well over three years
before making such a decision.

I agree that it was a extremely unstable 'stable' release. I
would like a bigger map though if possible. I won't be leaving
this server regardless as I don't feel like putting in effort of
finding a new server and I still have unfinished business
revenging myself from h0tr0d.
You may have sped up the process by an unfortunate accident but
I think the real blame is on the pimps for releasing an unstable
'stable'. I have encountered numerous game breaking bugs and
would never of called that a stable version.
On that note are we able to make bigger farming plots now? I
still haven't read the release notes.

Sterling Cheese and myself are leaving. I needed 10 minutes,
just ten minutes to make a vid of our unfinished castle. I
wouldn't have even cared if you reset it 10 seconds after I
completed the vid. But now I have nothing, not even a screen of
it.

Like I've said multiple times now, it was an accident. I
restarted the server while h0tr0d was working on files and that
corrupted the server. There was no recovering from that. If you
feel that is justification to leave, I don't know what to say.

Just FYI, I'm not leaving because of the wipe, just taking a
break from the game after starting over so many times the last
couple of months (not your fault). I have no issue with the
server, you guys do a great job staying on top of issues.

I wont be leaving, was actually having fun after finally finding
a server and community I liked. I know I am a more silent
player in game, but that is because I don't care to type a lot
while playing, and it is usually pretty late when I play so I
don't want to be talking a lot since so I don't disturb my wife
sleeping in the other room. But I wont be playing as much come
Friday as Path of Exile should be releasing its newest expansion
and I will be playing that quite a bit over the coming weeks. I
will pop in to keep my stuff safe and play a little but most of
gaming time will be spent in PoE.
Thank you Madman and H0tr0d for running the servers that I think
will be my home for some time to come and I look forward to
trying to get into some pvp action with H0tr0d in the future.
(when I get brave enough to actually try ;) )
