Suggested PvP Changes

So I'm going to suggest this again:
How about making the Land Claim Block *INVULNERABLE* to player
damage, whether you're online or offline. This will eliminate**
the potential of being raided*** while you're offline and will
encourage more players to build in the south and participate in
PvP, thereby extending the end-game activities.
I've played on servers using this setup before and I gotta tell
you, it was pretty fun, even after you were comfortable in the
post-apocalyptic world. Getting shot on your balcony or right
after you opened your door was always a risk, not to mention
while running around trying to scavenge supplies (this
particular server had server-wide PvP).
Wars between groups of people were also pretty common,
especially during the "end game", when everyone had plenty of
supplies and resources.
What made it so fun was that you at least had a safe spot to
retreat to, where you could rebuild your resources for the next
big battle.
How do you guys feel about this?

**Virtually eliminated the possibility of being raided. If we
allow players the opportunity to use zombies as laborers for a
raid, then you could still be raided if you didn't put in proper
zombie defenses and the raiding player was clever in using
zombie helpers. Also, if you were stupid in your base design
you could still be raided or killed inside your base.
*** And for that matter, what is the point of raiding? Unless
you score a rare item like an auger or purple engines or the
like, it is more efficient to simply mine or collect resources.
Who wants to blow through 10,000 gas cans to break into a base
and walk away with rocks, or a few stacks of iron or the like?
Maybe some of you have gotten rich off of raiding - I don't know
- but I'd bet you haven't . . .

i can see the fun in raid just because u can see a persons base
for yourself but i would like to be, if possible, to have be
invulnerable when you are offline as you cant protect yourself.
that would let people join up in a base and have a type of king
of the hill game or wars when you are able to protect your base.

Nathan and I have raided quite a bit, I can agree with the block
being invulnerable when your offline if thatll help move people
south. But only when they're offline. When they're online they
should be able to fend off attackers, otherwise if they cant
then they should be ready to be raided. My opinion.

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THIS:
It is currently impossible to separate the ONLINE versus OFFLINE
modifiers. Whatever the ONLINE modifier is set to, the OFFLINE
modifier will be the same. The code for this modifier is broken
on hosted multiplayer games. It has been for some time now. The
Fun Pimps need to fix this on their end before we can implement
separate durability settings for land claim protection. It used
to work. It does NOT work now.
That being said, I tend to agree with the idea of setting it to
indestructible until it is fixed by the pimps. Perhaps we can
"nerf" it by only allowing one land claim to be used by any one
player. Thus making the land claim block that much more valuable
and requiring more thought before placement. This could also
encourage more group play as you would need more friends (And
their land claim blocks) to increase an area of protection.

I like this idea, one block per player will make people think
twice as to where they want to settle down, as well as force
players to come together to extend their areas.
