Brand New and Lost LCB

I just started on the server less than an hour ago and when I
logged in the first time, I died immediately (it was night).
When I respawned nearby, my bag showed up on the compass. I had
an Esc and mouse cursor issue, so I relogged and when I came
back, my bag icon was gone. There is no one in the area and it
was less than 15 minutes between dying and finding the general
location. I looked all over that spot for about 15 minutes and
the icon and bag have disappeared. Is is possible that they
despawned when I logged out, or someone looted my bag only and
nothing else in the immediate area? It had my only LCB and I'm
so new, I can't buy one. Can anyone offer suggestions as to a
way I can get another without having to wait until I can use my
ZCoins? Thanks!

Sorry, mate. Anecdotally it seems like dropped bag life is a
little wonky. Sometimes they stick around for a while and
sometimes they inexplicably disappear. They do have a life
span, but I'd think it should be more than 15 minutes.
In any event, there are probably dozens of players who would be
happy to craft you a replacement for free. Give us a shout
in-game and we'll hook you up.

I logged in and my character has been completely reset. Is that
normal? Did you reset me so I can get all my beginner stuff? I
wasn't expecting that, since I was in my friends' base. Now,
I'm naked, alone, in a different biome, and had to log because
it's night. Deja vu! haha. If you intended that to be the
case, thanks for setting me up, but a warning would have been
nice. LOL :)
