Have you guys looked at that any for the server? I've heard it
is a lot better than CBSM but obviously I don't run a server so
I have no hard experience with either.

Ultimatly its up to hotrod and madman, but I agree, in using
botman from a player perspective, it is far superior to cbsm and
with talking with a server admin that switch to botman from
cbsm, he described it as botman capabilities just blew his mind
compared to cbsm and setting it up was pretty easy.

Are there any negatives as to using botman compared to our
current cbsm? We could always do a group poll to see
everythings thoughts.

It looks to me like you cannot use this on a hosted server. Or
at least, most server hosts do not allow these type of programs
to run on their machines. Unless I misunderstood what I read,
you would need to have a second dedicated computer to run this
if you rent a server machine as most server owners do. Even if
there was a workaround, it doesn't make sense to me to have a
program with so many processes running like this botman would
require on the same machine as the game server. It would
absolutely add more stress to the server and diminish optimum
gameplay performance.
The great thing about CBSM is it is completely web based and
does not require installation of a separate program on the host
machine. It also can be accessed from any place that you have a
computer or smartphone with an internet connection. It's not
perfect but it is much more reliable and less intrusive than the
old Frontrunnertek server manager was. This botman manager
appears to me to function on the same principal as that server
manager did only with a lot more features.
Feel free to correct me if I am confused as to how this botman
works.

Here is a link to the installation guide for reference. It is
quite a complex setup to get this going, especially if you are
not already running Linux which we are NOT. I see no feasible
way to integrate this server manager with a rented server.
Honestly it looks like a nightmare. Not to mention with so many
things that have to be setup perfectly, I don't see how this
would be reliable given the current state of the game and all of
the frequent updates. In my humble opinion, this is something
for a finished game not a game in alpha state. Take a look for
yourself.

Yeah, no problem. I had just heard very good things about it
but obviously it doesn't work for the setup this server has.

I certainly appreciate the suggestion so please don't be
dismayed by my response. I did look into it with the hopes of
finding something cool, which it is. I just don't see anyway to
use it unfortunately. Thanks again for looking out though. ;)
