So I played Nav on SP for the first time in a year or more....

So I played Nav on SP for the first time in a year or more and
have some random observations. This is (or can be) completely
independent of the poll as to whether GZ should play a Nav seed
       this month.
       1. When you are used to the expansive RWG that goes out to 10K
in all directions, Nav feels super tiny. If GZ played one it
really would only have a two or three week shelf life because
space and resources are much more limited. That isn't
necessarily a bad or good thing--just depends on how you like to
       play.
       2. The smaller size is intriguing, though, in that it would
force interaction. PVE players would almost be required to work
together (or at least actively trade) in order to get the things
they need. PVP players would necessarily interact much more
often, either by choice or by happenstance.
For these reasons I wonder if it might be fun to play on a
smaller RWG as well. Maybe something that only goes 5K-6K out.
Besides those general thoughts, I have two questions that
perhaps h0tr0d (or anyone who knows) possibly can answer?
       3. Would it be possible to take the Nav map and copy it into 4
quarters to create a single map out of it? That is, Nav is
something like 3K squared. So take a 9K square map, divide it
into 4 quarters, and have each quarter be a replication of Nav?
If so, that might be a way for GZ to play Nav but give it a
little more room. You could even leave the radiation zones, so
that players would want to collect a full hazmat suite to go
       expand into other areas.
Or if not 4 quarters, maybe just two side-by-side.
       4. Is it possible to take some of the Nav POI's and let them
generate in the RWG seeds? There are some cool POI's in Nav
that you don't ever see in RWG. (Although I suspect that this
might not be possible since the Nav POIs might be hand-built for
that seed and not made as plug-and-play POI's).

Here's another random idea that I forgot to include.
If we had a second GZ server (I know, logistics, cost, etc. to
work out) there could be some fun in having one server be the
'normal' rules server that we currently play with. Huge map,
2000+ day life, etc., just like we do now.
Then on the second server we could have event/tournament seeds.
These would be for a set amount of days (50, 100, 150 days max
or something like that) and limit players to a set amount of
lives (probably leveraging the Dead is Dead concept that we will
see in the future). This would let us create some kind of GZ
ladder system based on collected stats/score. Tournaments would
start at the guidance of the Admins and naturally some rules
might need to be established for that kind of play.
Anyone who prefers a 7DTD builder experience could always just
go up on the long-term 'normal' server. Anyone who was
eliminated from the tournament server could also still
join/rejoin the normal server until the next tournament started
       back up.

I have nothing to add to the questions above. But I do think
that you are onto something with having a smaller map. I've
played both PVP and PVE sides in the past. Both times with PVP I
felt everyone was too far away. I'd rather it be closer quarters
than just roaming and being shot at from far far away.
Just the same with PVE, I've played PVE alone hermit style and
had adventures and visited other players.
But I've also played PVE closer to other players and had a much
better playing experience when living and working together with
       nearby players.
Random gen is a blessing and a curse. A giant map is great to
explore...but we are playing on an online server for a reason to
       play with other players online.

I also like the idea, especially in PVE.
I like the idea of being able to run over to a fellow
survivalists base and help with a horde.
In PVE a close community is nice, if for no other reason than to
see the cool bases people build.
       You can share easier.
I played one "season" on small server and we always added each
       other as friends.
It removed friendly fire and it helped players navigate relative
       to each other.
Obviously this was not a PVP server.
In PvP it also seems like a good idea.
But I think it might depend on your style.
If you build big and defiant, it is awesome.
If you rely on small and hidden bases, then you might not be as
       successful.
