Stepping up your game and getting the most from the challenge.

While Il Duce and myself were fighting the zombie tsunami he
mentioned that the zeds need to be upped so they become
dangerous, and I couldn't help thinking, "they seem rather
dangerous to me". However, that's partly because of our chosen
play styles. For instance, I don't run maxed armor. I use a
blue beanie, blue jeans, and a white shirt. Cookie has always
had the blue beanie. Wisengrim (one of our Zorg clan) has
always been trigger happy, so after getting shot by him (the
second time) when coming into Grimtown I determined we needed
some kind of identifying badge. As soon as the hats were
available I started wearing the blue beanie.
"Ok Wise," I says, "If you see anyone in a blue beanie, and they
look ridiculous enough that you won't see many... um, *any*...
so if you see a guy in your scope with a blue beanie, don't
shoot him, cause it's probably me." Thus a signature look was
born. Been a beanie man ever since.
If the game has lost some of it's punch, consider focusing more
on the look or image you want to imprint on your fellow
survivors rather than amping the numbers to the max. It will
make your game more challenging, and it will give the server a
       unique "you" to identify.
For those of you who are history buffs Carlos Hathcock was one
of the most dangerous Marine Corps snipers during the Vietnam
war, and he was known by the North Vietnamese as "White Feather"
because he always wore a white feather in his cap. Now, it's
not the best for a sniper to have a badge such as this to mark
them (particularly when the whole point of being a sniper is to
remain hidden), but that didn't stop him from scoring 93
       confirmed kills during the war.

I always wear the same style as well, regardless of protection.
       Cowboy hat, sunglasses, leather duster.
Sometimes pants if I feel generous.

What the... Midnight Stranger streaking across the grounds in
the middle of the night with no pants on.
       "Who was that?"
"I don't know. [shrug] Looked like some midnight stranger."
Hopefully you at least cover certain generous parts with
       underwear.
