Wellness drop of 43

Sadly was too late to take a screenshot, but I got killed
earlier during pvp, and while before it took the regular amount
for a death, this time I went from 143 to 100. I couldn't find
anything on the wikia. Is this normal or possible, or a bug?

It would seem as though the game intends health to always
gravitate toward the 100 mark. At lower health it goes up
easier and at higher health it seems to go down easier.
I had mine going down just from being attacked by Zeds, not even
from dying, but never when I was under the 100 mark. It was
happening when I was above. Not sure if there are any formulas
for this, but it certainly seems like they want most people to
be around 100.

100 is the minimum I believe due to the perks. Normally the drop
is simply less though, I think 10.
