Investigation into NoobTown being destroyed

Here is what I found.

I was trying to give an explanation rather than just say no and
perhaps I spoke too much or took a lecturing tone b/c I got this

Let me say this; if any of you think I am insulting or rude or
impolite...whatever it is...feel free to post it here. I hide
nothing; I am who I am and I do what I do. I let my actions
speak for themselves and stand by everything I do/say. I am not
threatened in the least by such statements. You are also free to
forward things to Madman if you feel I am out of line.

Can you see the passive-aggressive dig? "We took the time to
gather more bike supplies after your last message. Hopefully you
can track this one better, and possibly help me."
That folks, is overdoing it. All she needed was "This time it
was just me. I was riding it and fell through the world. It was
at approximately 3:07pm PST at coordinates 1475 N 8070 E."
I shrugged it off and I went in game and soon found the bike at
the coordinates she had given me. I disassembled it, ported to
VegasPG and offered to place it so she could ride it back.
She declined, choosing to instead run the 4+km back to Hotel
Noob.

She seemed surprised; perhaps because I saw her "leaving the
server post" and was still helping.
You see I don't respond emotionally as an admin and knee-jerk
flip out if someone has one of those "moments" or is
discourteous.
I port to Hotel Noob and leave the bike out front and use Voice
chat in-game to talk with Dmortuus. I hear blocks being placed
and then he comes out of the door.
He tells me she doesn't like being lectured to b/c she is a
"grown woman" and then proceeded to repeat to me ad nauseum
"thanks for everything you have done for us and the server",
using this as a reply to everything I said at the end.
So I left.
Little did I know what they were planning/doing and little did
they know what I was doing.
You see they were placing tnt and mines to destroy Noobtown...I
had already started a backup up the region files.
So when Midnight Stranger asked about what had happened to
NoobTown I logged in and saw the area was devastated. I have
never seen zombies do this so I restored the region to last
night's version.

I don't post PMs lightly and I wanted you to see that this is
how not to handle things maturely and I deal in transparency.
They did this out of spite and as actions reveal character does
any more need to be said?
I don't care how many nice acts you claim to have done; if it
was a kind or generous act b/c you are a kind or generous person
then you do it for the sake of being kind and not for
recognition or reward. Claiming a kind and generous nature
during the time they have played here does not sway me to
restore 3 all purple minibikes on someone's word; I have this
covered in many posts about lost items.
What they did does not hurt me; it hurts other players who were
invested in that area and in the game. My only hope is that
their lack of maturity in this does not negatively affect other
players who may have befriended them in game or poison said
players.
They are henceforth banned and I declare them anathema .

Noob town is under new management and I have restored/upgraded
part of it already.

I feel like I just watched a really bad TV drama ;D
Thanks for the transparency - I know this game can be
frustrating but nothing justifies actions like that

We have a lot of people in the world who are like this sadly,
they can be found in a lot of social justice, charities,
universities, left and right wing politics, churches, across the
board, these are people who are not genuinely nice, they do nice
things and they help out because they expect something in
return.
Not just a helping hand, but literal exceptions, bending of the
rules, looking the other way on bad actions.
It's really rather amazing that they'd take the hours of time
involved to set up a nuke on their own investment as an exit
strategy. Just absolutely amazing.
That's some serious hard boiled sociopathy.

The sheer amount of paper, gunpowder, tnt making, mining things
out. That would be like a full literal RL day of grumbling and

I would certainly love to help in any way I can, whether that is
taking management (temporarily or full time) or helping to
rebuild and renew the hotel. Its such a shame, I really enjoyed
the sense of community I got from staying there.
Hopefully this gets ironed out soon and we can make the hotel
bigger and better than before. :)

I am game to help Noob town in anyway, just let me know what is
needed and I will try my best.
I am glad h0tr0d was able to restore the hotel so these childish
players could not get the last laugh.

As a person who is invested in that area (the lights shining in
that video, is from my building), I can tell you that they are
nice people. I cannot and will not comment on whatever feelings
and emotions that were at play here, and whether their decision
to blow up the building is 'correct'.
They are people to help out other players, invest their time to
help those that need it. I can definitely appreciate the feeling
that you want to confirm what has been lost, or restore
health/items due to lag spikes or any other problems. I can also
understand there was a level of disappointment where a lot of
hard 'work' was lost due to a bug (that neither side is to blame
for), and wasn't restored on their word.
Having been in similar spots on both sides, it's definitely a
situation where communication is essential, and it seems both
parties weren't happy with how the other one communicated.
All I can say is that I definitely appreciate the help they've
given me, and I hope we can stay away from calling them things.

You're welcome to feel that way, just don't let people drag you
down because they're nice to you and you don't see that side of
them. Stalin had friends. Gobels had friends. Pol Pot had
friends. People who are dangerously emotional can be seemingly
decent, in fact, it's more likely. Just watch your back around
them for your own safety is all I'm saying.
In psychology, it's totally a thing that people can appear super
charming and super nice, but then take actions in ways that are
the exact opposite of that... and trying to demolish noob hotel
as a fond-f--k-you or just for personal amusement tips 2 or 3
warning signs.

There's a huge disregard for the other people using the noob
hotel if they were just doing this for fun, or this was a move
of vengeance. Either way, they've tipped flags in reacting this
way.
My grandmother is a bonified sociopath. She caused divorces in
my extended family, she tried to have me thrown out of the house
when I was young, she caused my own parents to separate for 2
years, and she's been arrested for misdeeds. On top of all that,
when she was a 30 something, she cheated on her husband with a
guy that turned out to be a pedophile, which as you can imagine
was wonderful news for my parent, and my aunts and uncles, and
then she threatened to kick them out of the house if any of them
reported his molestation.
Trust me when I say I know sociopathic behavior when I see it.
Don't be charmed and then stabbed in the back later, keep your
guard up.
