       PVP Thieving Item (CONCEPT)

Ok, so I'm going to do a mind thought process of our current PVP
situation and list some facts known and throw out an idea.
Why don't we have more PVP? Dying doesn't seem to matter as
much, but most players worry about losing ALL items.
Are bases destroyed in PVP? NO, usually its only a few blocks
       broken to steal items.
Can we store items elsewhere? Item Bank, Special locked chest, 2
bases north n south, etc. All seem to require traveling a lot or
       special coding.
Can we limit how many items are stolen in 1 raid? Hard to
       manage, can't prosecute easily.
       ~New Concept~
Have a NEW special item, that is only used for the sole purpose
of trading in-place-of a looted item.
Example. Item is money "Dollar Bill" listed as an item you can
pick up, in your inventory slot. NOT STACKABLE. We can call this
a "Loot Bill" When you break into another base and wish to
loot items, you MUST take an item and replace it with this "Loot
Bill" If you only have 4 Loot Bills on you, then you can
only steal 4 items (or 4 stacks of something).
Say I break into a base and only have 1 Loot Bill. I must then
look at all items this player has, and decide which item I need
the most since I can only take 1 item from their base and leave
1 Loot Bill in its place.
When the owner returns, he is now missing his item I stole,
BUT....he has more Loot Bills that he previously had. So now
this guy can go out and loot more items from other players to
regain anything he lost or wants new.
It is basically a Currency used for stealing items. You CAN NOT
steal any items unless you have a Loot Bill to replace in its
       slot.
       ~ISSUES~
       1. How do we give out these Loot Bills to players?
       2. Can they be crafted?
       3. Supply Drops?
       4. Special events only?
       5. What if a player acquires or saves up 50 Loot Bills and
       cleans an entire base out?
       6. How to limit supply to the world for total amount of Bills
       floating around in game?
       7. What if players horde Loot Bills, then quit playing and these
bills never get re-introduced into the world?
       8. Should they expire if player has not logged online after so
       many days?
       9. Can other players steal Loot Bills during raids? Or is that
       counter productive in its purpose?
(I think Loot Bills should NEVER be allowed to be stolen)

I don t think this is the essence of the problem, I will say for
myself, even with a system like this, I m not going into
raiding, nor leaving important items in my south base. It s
simple not my thing, other things can be done to bring PVP on,
and I think they just need to be kickstarted, and they will be.
As a sidenote, I think this system will be hard to monitor, as
hard as the thing of limiting the number of things a person can
stole in the base. One thing that was possible was, a rare item
that unlock a chest, chest would have to have a large amount of
health like 99999, and this item would work like a trigger to
unlock it, but right now as the game is done, I don t think you
can give a effect like this to an item, who knows when they
start modding support that may be possible.

I've been running around the idea of no raiding in the south for
       a while...
Braizd offered to construct bases for players to raid as an
option although he hasnt given me one yet...hopefully he gets
       time.

We could try this out while A14 is around and see the results by
A15. If PVP is allowed, but no raiding. Then I think trading
items would become a lot more useful.

Not a problem for me anyway. I like PVP, but I don't have any
interest in raiding. Honestly by the time we get a couple
hundred days into a seed there isn't really anything that
someone could have to raid that you couldn't obtain my normal
       means anyway.
The only point to raiding at that stage is to try and break in
to kill a player--which would work great if the LCB settings
were set to be invincible when a player is offline and 'normal
strength' or very low when a player is online.
Raiding a guy's base when that player is offline is just lame,
       really.
