       Server status atm...it seems we are up

       There are issues atm.
       If you received errors and aren't able to provide me with
       information it makes it difficult to troubleshoot.
       I can't always find the answer just from an explanation and only
       questions so please check the below link (post) out and if it
       proves problematic let me know a good way to explain so you can
       understand it easier; an educated player base helps immensely!

       I try to keep everyone apprised on the forums as best I can.
       Again if you have a better way to place information in one
       location let me know. This is the least complicated logistically
       for me.

       Now the server isn't listing, gah! Be a shame if they let us
       submit tickets as anything except "normal"
       It's entirely possible the issues have resided with the host;
       hopefully someone responds in a timely fashion.

       Right now we are waiting on them to answer the support ticket.

       Only you can answer the last question.
       For some reason our host just ran an update which means theyre
       idiots and maybe wiped us.

       The Dallas server. Someone just ran an update on it and it and I
       am checking to see if they wiped us.
       
       The dashboard being active does not translate to the server
       listing; have had this happen to us multiple times the past 2
       months.

       Did someone update our server as a “fix”? Because it reverted us
       to vanilla files and now there are quite a few errors to
       resolve.

       I looked at your server’s output_log and saw that there were
       issues in your server files that were causing your server to not
       load properly, I believed that it was file corruptions. Did you
       have custom files?

       I would appreciate if in the future our files not be reset
       without asking me first.
       Errors as a result of custom items can result in a NullReference
       error when players try to join; however, this will not prevent
       the server from starting or showing in the server list. The
       players will try logging in and get a Nullrefereceerror which
       can be resolved with editing the .xmls  or deleting a player
       profile (if the player had a custom item which cannot be tracked
       down).
       I have been modding for quite a while and only adjust .xmls,
       keep backups of everything, and while I am not all-knowing, I
       have a good handle on Nullreference errors and how to fix things
       on the fly.
       I believe we have had 2-3 instances from Nov-Dec where the
       server stopped listing and the Dashboard would not let me use
       the restart/stop/start buttons and it was never a modified .xml.
       Validating files and resetting .xmls can cause havoc and
       necessitate a complete wipe on a server that is heavily modded
       as custom items/bocks/entities can exist in abundance. This is
       why I ask for a consultation if it is deemed necessary; again
       though, these Nullreference errors are easily trace-able and
       rectified from my end.

       P.S. It seems every ticket is filed as “normal”. is this because
       people abuse the “critical” category? If not, what am I doing
       wrong in being unable to classify it as anything except normal?

       We are currently experiencing a large DDoS attack on this
       server, we are working to resolve the issue with our upstream
       provider but it could take up to 8 hours to resolve.
       Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.

       We have many servers in Chicago and only 3 out of hundreds where
       attacked yesterday.
       We do not have DDoS protection in chicago, but do offer
       protection in New York, Dallas and Germany.
       If you would like to move to one of these location this can be
       done free of charge.
       Your server should be running correctly now, please let us know
       if you have any further issue or have further questions.

       Yes, the server would need to be stopped in order to transfer
       it. If you’d like to do the transfer later tonight when the
       server is less active, you can respond when you’re ready for the
       transfer to begin.
