Mo. Supreme Court upholds Leonard Taylor death sentence--
The Missouri Supreme Court has denied an appeal against a man
convicted and sentenced to death for the murders of his
girlfriend and her three children in November 2004.

St. Louis County, MO (KSDK) - The Missouri Supreme Court has
denied an appeal against a man convicted and sentenced to death
for the murders of his girlfriend and her three children in
November 2004.
In a 6-0 decision, the state's high court ruled Leonard Taylor
failed to prove he was denied due process. The court determined
the result of the original trial would not have been different
"because overwhelming evidence was presented at trial of
(Taylor's) guilt."
A jury convicted Leonard Taylor in February 2008 for the deaths
of 28-year-old Angela Rowe, and her three kids, ages 5, 6 and
11. Taylor was dating Rowe at the time of the killings and lived
in her home.

Missouri to carry out sentence of Leonard Taylor--
Monday, February 6th, 2023
(JEFFERSON CITY, MO)– Today, Governor Mike Parson confirmed that
the State of Missouri will carry out the sentence of Leonard
Taylor on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, as ordered by the Supreme
Court of Missouri.
“Leonard Taylor brutally murdered a mother and her three
children. The evidence shows Taylor committed these atrocities
and a jury found him guilty. Courts have consistently upheld
Taylor’s convictions and sentences under the facts and the
Missouri and United States Constitutions,” Governor Parson said.
“Despite his self-serving claim of innocence, the facts of his
guilt in this gruesome quadruple homicide remain. The State of
Missouri will carry out Taylor’s sentences according to the
Court’s order and deliver justice for the four innocent lives he
stole.”
Taylor murdered his girlfriend, Angela Rowe, and her three
children—Alexus (10), AcQreya (6), and Tyrese (5) Conley—in
their home just before Thanksgiving in 2004. Each suffered
execution-style wounds to the head and multiple other gunshot
wounds. Taylor called his brother about the murders specifically
describing his current and planned acts, which later matched
evidence at the scene. His brother’s girlfriend also heard and
attested to the content of these calls.
As Taylor fled to California to see his wife, a witness saw him
discard the possible murder weapon. Bullets matching the caliber
of the murder weapon were both found at the scene and discovered
in Taylor’s car. Blood was found on Taylor’s sunglasses, and the
DNA profile was consistent with Rowe’s DNA.
After a nationwide manhunt, officers found Taylor hiding on the
floorboards of a car while leaving another girlfriend’s home in
Kentucky. Taylor has two prior forcible r*p* convictions,
underscoring a history of violent acts against women.

Leonard Taylor's Missouri Execution--
Tuesday, February 7th, 2023
Leonard Taylor, a 58-year-old man convicted in 2008 for the
slayings of his girlfriend and her three young children, was put
to death by lethal injection Tuesday night in Missouri.
Taylor was found guilty of murdering Angela Rowe, 28; her
daughters Alexus Conley, 10, and AcQreya Conley, 6; and her son
Tyrese Conley, 5. The four victims were found shot to death
inside their Jennings, Missouri, home on December 3, 2004.
The victims "suffered execution-style wounds to the head and
multiple other gunshot wounds," according to Missouri Governor
Mike Parson, who on Monday said the state would carry out
Taylor's sentence.
Taylor died at the state penitentiary in Bonne Terre, Missouri,
at 6:16 p.m. local time on Tuesday. The execution came shortly
after a denial for further investigation or any stay.
He was the third inmate executed in the last four months in
Missouri.
