       Rick Rhoades executed in Texas for 1991 double murder--
       Tuesday, September 28th, 2021
       HUNTSVILLE, Texas — The state of Texas carried out its third
       execution of 2021 on Tuesday night, killing 57-year-old Rick
       Rhoades by lethal injection for the 1991 fatal stabbings of two
       brothers during a robbery at their Houston-area home.
       Rhoades was condemned for killing Charles Allen, 31, and Bradley
       Allen, 33, less than one day after he was released on parole
       after serving a five-year burglary sentence, The Texas Tribune
       reported.
       Prison officials confirmed that Rhoades was pronounced dead at
       6:29 p.m. at Texas’ death chamber in Huntsville and made no
       final statement.
