       What implications does the current trajectory of the “green

       improving public transportation options,
       density and walkability could mean a 66% decrease in lithium
       demand, compared to the current model. Even reducing the size of
       American vehicles and batteries alone could reduce lithium use
       by 42% by 2050. In other words, the decisions Americans make

       global relevance. In this interview, the report's lead author,
       political scientist Thea Riofrancos, explains the implications
