Solipsism
DIR By: peacemaker

Let me start by saying I periodically have my flirts with
Solipsism. Most of the times I settle with "I will never know so
it shouldn't matter", and I've found out that solipsism is a
good exercise to check if there's a residue of contradiction in
me since, if I discover I would act / feel differently in case
something confirmed solipsism (as it that was possible) it means
something unreal is deciding my behaviour.
I could rephrase all that by saying that I consider a sign of
dualism when the thought of solipsism provokes some kind of
strong reaction.
I was surprised to find out that 2 mediatic Advaita teachers
were usually upset and attack directly solipsism, instead of
addressing it like you do, still a possibility.
At this point I'd like to ask you if you would add something to
these thoughts, are they overseeing something? could you push
them in any more productive direction ?
Thanks

Right after sending I realised sometimes it gets a bit
further...
Sometimes there's understanding that, as truth is revealed, the
concept of me disappears, the unity of everything is revealed,
and a solipsistic scenario introduces very little difference:
basically the difference would just be if there's another point
of view "happening" or not, but the big "heavy" consequence of
someone being alone in this scenario disappears completely. Then
also sometimes the multiple points of view seems to lose meaning
since all perceptions could end being similar to hearing, it
could happen simultaneously from all directions.
Then, I guess what remains on all this exercise is how can unity
split an isolate so well to become just my actual point of view.
Seems there's something privileged on my point of view.
I guess I'm goign back and forth or in circles, can you shed
some light ?
Thanks

You are going back and forth in circles... you are looking for
an answer in mind. If it was there don't you think you would
have it by now?
Stop looking for something where it isn't. You cannot figure
this out. It just doesn't work that way. Let go of all your
mental struggle, it's a waste of energy. Relax, breathe and
allow everything to be as it is, not as you think it is, as it
is.
Love ya, Jed.

about letting things go and being open to what comes to
consciousness... I can see how that scares me and how I kindof
unconsciously play tricks with me to not allow that to happen...
I was going to ask you "how to" let go, but it seems I'm asking
you to tell me what to do, I just want you to protect me.. then
I was going to ask you "what to keep in mind" when letting go
which seems even sillier...
Then it's tempting to get lost into thinking about the paradox
of "who's letting go?" if there's no real me in this level ...
but now seems clear this is just another distraction to postpone
letting go...
Then I start realising all this game is intentional, but I
wonder why, it doesn't feel fun to me... but is probably a
higher me who is having fun ?
So yah, if I'm sincere, I have to admit I don't want to let go,
that's my actual game, I believe it's not
worth/fair/pretty/nice/safe . It still doesn't feel "wise".
So I guess that's my game, hopefully I'll get tired of it soon.
Any advice or light to shed?
Thanks!

Actually I was starting to feel that if I could JUST RELAX,
meaning, not to do something more or less with the things in my
life, just LET EVERYTHING EXACTLY AS IT IS and "sit back" (in my
awereness) and enjoy the show (with my apparent me on it doing
whatever I/he think/s I have/has to be doing), it would be
exactly the same and, at the same time, exactly the opposite,
fun to watch an enjoy.
It's funny how this straightforward meaning of "JUST RELAX" just
escaped to me and I was thinking of something more complicated
like "find the most wise and frictionless action in every
moment", "be like water my friend" ...
Wanna push me or is it already fun enough ? :)
Thanks!

I'm lately quite occupied and disturbed with some old fears
related to relationships and trying to learn to cope with a ton
of things in my ToDo list. Basically trying to grow and become
more productive and peaceful.
Is Maya tricking me and I shouldn't give a shit about this stuff
or I should surf through this waves while keeping focus on the
miracle of awareness?
I feel like it doesn't matter whatever happens / I do, the only
important thing is to see there's no difference between both ?
But still, all your advices to me have been in the lines of
"stop thinking and be open to whatever pops out in awareness" so
it feels like I should try to eliminate the turmoils as much as
possible to "leave space in awareness", well I guess that's
silly since awareness doesn't have space, can't run out of
space, or have too many stuff to avoid other stuff coming in.
Actually I sometimes feel the best I can do in the situation I
am in is to learn to deal with the necessary stuff without
getting too attached to the result, learning to let go and act
intuitively (following body instructions) so I keep on the line
of what we were saying of "sit back and relax and enjoy the
show" which seems to create this "space" I was talking in
awareness to be attentive to new stuff popping out.
ok, that was my picture of my actual state hoping you can see,
from your privileged point of view, where am I blocked and give
me a gentle push. Possible ?
thanks!

Are you going to get into turmoil about eliminating your
turmoil, sounds like bombing for peace. If turmoil pops up, why
not just let it be there? It's not different than any other
experience when you go to it's core. Experience is just
experience. The labels are all you change.
Love ya, Jed.

Today the quote "the seeker is the sought" got an extra meaning,
in my pursuit of finding what's blocking me from growing, from
being more free... the answer is that exactly what I'm doing,
all this constant thinking, planning, forcing, labeling is the
big rock that I'm dragging and makes "advancing" or "seeing new
things" much more difficult.
I also had this thought of "what if secretly I don't give a shit
about anything?", if I surrender from the beginning to achieve
any result, not avoiding situations or being inactive, but
simply doing whatever I feel like doing without worrying if the
result is what I usually consider "a mistake"... This thought
brought me a feeling of naughty pleasure, like if I were a kid
planning something naughty, too good to be true or acceptable by
the rest...
