Jed Rant... Expectations
DIR By: Jed McKenna

O.K. here he goes again... can't seem to stop him.
Premise; If you don't want to ever be disappointed again it's
easy. Don't ever make another appointment.
Interpretation: Do you have to expect anything in order for the
next arising in your present illusion to appear? Please
contemplate a little. Doesn't the next arising occur anyways?
Isn't it just going to somehow happen? Does your expectation
alter the next arising in any way? I grant you that it may alter
how you feel about it or even how you perceive it, but does it
materially effect that next arising? How could it? Keep in mind,
I am not speaking of an action you might take which could well
effect that next arising, I am talking specifically about your
thoughts/expectations/desire regarding it.
Humans attempt to assert control over that next arising by doing
something like ''bending'' it to their liking, by trying to make
it more pleasant or less painful or threatening to self-image.
(did someone just mention ''gambling'') Even if you succeed in
some way, guess what? There is another next arising and you now
have to deal with that one. This is a tremendous load on you and
drains you of precious energy that could better be spent on...
hmmm... checking up on the current price of Yak milk in Mongolia
(which I suggest you constantly follow, as do I).
So, never make another appointment (expectation) and you will
never be disappointed (dissed by life). Got it? Trust me, you
simply cannot keep up with it and one day you will realize this.
Give up!
Love ya, Jed.

But, then again, "giving up" is what happens or doesn't happen,
since we apparently do not have free will... If we expect to
actually give up when we hallucinate to decide to give up,
wouldn't that also blow up in our face?

You know what's funny. Yesterday there was a flashback of my
past self. Noticed how the "connection" is lost to that person.
Weird if I think even 2 years ago up till that time I was a full
fledged personality with no intention of self awareness. After a
while in this rabbithole this whole human costume mojo turns
into a transparant plastic bag of air. Just looking inside the
empty bag and see the false pollution being cleansed. A virus
continuously peeling out bits of corrupted data. Not identifying
seriously with what's up.

@ Stephan: I wonder who is looking inside the empty transparent
plastic bag?

No idea who's looking or sensing anything in particular Frits.
The narrating "I"usually claims the number 1 attention spot your
entire dream life. Pretty senseless. As far as expectations
goes, it's mental masturbation believing any of it.
