I like that mantra. It could be applied to everything. We simple
do not really know what is, what isn't and what's true. Just let
it all be because that's what it's going to do anyways.
Love ya, Jed.

I'm noticing more as each day passes how I just don't care about
anything in life, with the exception of a few insults the mind
throws at 'me.' And even that's getting Lame (Considering it's
the same stuff) and identification is becoming less prevalent.
For instance, today I am supposed to go to the beach to
celebrate a family gathering and I just don't care at all. I
rather just stay home. I feel kinda 'comatose.' Like I am aware
of my thoughts and the environment, but I feel like "BLEH" to
everything. When people talk, I tune in and out at the same time
if that makes any sense...If I'm told that something bad
happened in the world or state I live in, I just don't care. Omg
someone died. I don't care. I just realize 'MY death is coming
sooner than I think as well.
And especially when I talk and observe the mind, I usually end
with a "Do you see the stupid crap that comes out your mouth"
lol.
Of course this question is futile because you can't know what
I'm going through for sure, i.e. It can just be that I'm feeling
lazy on a consistent basis, lack of iron with energy, or maybe a
shift is happening that I should just 'let be' and not interfere
with? But anyhow, any thoughts on this?

Humans are the people of the lie. To wake up to this can be
quite shocking, because you were one once also.
Love ya, Jed.

Hi Jed. Something has bothered me intensely and i wanted to
share with you.
No belief is true?
The fact that polar opposites exist relative to each other shows
something interesting. That they of themselves can't exist
alone. Meaning neither can't be true. Truth can only be
something that can exist BY ITSELF at all times. Relativity is
conceptual and can change.
For example, beauty. I perceive myself/others as beautiful or
ugly, but both can't be true because beauty does not exist
without having ugly as a comparison and vice versa. If beauty or
ugliness actually did exist and were true, it would stand alone
and not change, i.e. the same person that thought you were
beautiful when you were younger (or starting a relationship with
you) can see you as ugly as you age (or when the fantasy of the
relationship is killed).
Same goes for all polar opposite concepts (good/bad,
right/wrong, etc).
This appears to be my mind rationalizing that beauty or ugliness
doesn't exist (because my mind finds 'my' face/body to be ugly),
but I really had to sit with this and think about it and it
bothered me.

A random and intense episode of depression/sadness/anger hit
recently. I stayed with it and watched all the thoughts the best
way I could. Some ideas/thoughts that I thought evaporated
popped back up (an incident happened) to reveal that they were
just simmering.
After trying to find out the root cause of all of this, I
suspect that it's because of identification with the body. I
don't believe I'm identifying with the mind as much because that
seems clearer to see that "I" am not the mind because "I'm"
still here when thoughts have ceased. And I'm able to see the
mind, which means I can't be it.
But the body identification is causing some issues. Now I'm
confused and scared all over again. How do I know that I am not
the body? Well, I don't know. I can observe pain in the body,
but it still appears/feels like I am the body.
Was wondering if you had any pointers for me on this?

Are you aware that you have a body? If you are the body then how
can you be aware that you have one. That's quite crazy don't you
think?
It's the most enduring identification, but it's only an
identification. Just be with it and you will see through it.
Love ya, Jed.

Trying to intellectualize truth is futile. I see that clearly
because no matter what the mind tells you, it can't be proven.
This could be a trap of Maya to get me going in circles with the
mind trying to understand life or rationalize painful beliefs.
However, something woke me up this morning and inspired this
writing.
Could it be that no experience, situation, or whatever in life
is better than another? But simply another experience. There
appears to be a balance of 'pros' and cons in life that might
neutralize over the course of a lifetime since everything is
transient.
"My" mind's biggest issues are on physical beauty, attention,
and respect. BUT Is it really better to be perceived as
beautiful than ugly? Adored than hated? Respected than
disrespected? The reactionary ego of course says, DUH, YES dum
dum!
But now I'm truly questioning is this really true and how do "I"
know this to be true? All 3 of these situations are forms of
enslavement to the ego and for every pleasure one can give, it
brings a complementary pain, rendering if neutral. So, can it
be better?
At the root of all of this is the belief that any belief/thought
is true, especially the idea of "me." Don't know nor can it be
proven through any thought, so am just aware that I don't really
know as of yet and will stay with it as you gifted the advice.

Re: Ringside Commentor - The Mind?

Observed something, or at least it appears so.
The mind, whatever it is (or isn't) is just like the ringside
commentators at sporting events (mainly boxing/mma) that make
all kinds of observations, theories, emotional attachments, and
predictions. Yet, none of it seems to have any effect on the
outcome of the match, what happens each round, or who is the
winner (assuming it's not fixed).
Maybe the mind is just a commentor of life to keep chatter going
on and stuff but it's actually on the sideline and has no true
power over the outcome of life or what happens.
