       Meditation

       Hello! Happy to be here.
On meditation: I've been meditating for about half a year,
mostly just mindfulness stuff. It's been (I think) extremely
beneficial to me in my day-to-day and it's helped me to
understand the nature of my own thoughts better. It has also
kept me locked on understanding the no-self.
Sometimes, however, I have the sneaking suspicion that
meditation is merely another layer of paint on the inside of my
cell; I honestly can't tell if it's just spinning my wheels or
if it actually has value. It certainly feels like it does, but I
know that how I feel isn't any indicator at all of actual value.
Any insight would be really helpful, thanks ahead of time.

       Dear TF:
Meditation is fine, but there are more immediate ways.
Meditation can stick in a blissful state that has nothing to do
with enlightenment. Just focusing on breathing can slow the mind
a bit. Have you done spiritual autolysis.
       Love ya, Jed.

       Hey Jed,
After first reading the the trilogy, I started SA, but I always
seemed to lose focus. Maybe I never really understood how to do
it. And once I read The Theory of Everything, C-Rex made sense
to me and I "know" the only thing that is true is I
Am/Consciousness. Obviously I don't KNOW IT know it or I would
be in a very different place, but some small part of me
understands and accepts that, even if the rest of me fights it.
I know that bliss isn't the answer and that's not what I'm after
vis-a-vis meditation. I guess I just wanted my brain to shut the
fuck up and thought meditation could help. But I don't want to
deaden my mind, I want to clear the clutter. Any thoughts?
       Thanks again.
       TF
PS- I read "Play". I loved it.

       Awesome, thank you.
Is that something I sign up for or do I just keep an eye out?

       Jed,
While I wait, what should/can I be doing? I don't want to deaden
my mind, but I do want to dig much deeper. Any suggestions?
       Thank you, sir.

Find out who wants to not deaden their mind...
       Game Hint: It's already dead.
       Love ya, Jed.
