Satori?

Namaste,
I have been searching for someone to share an experience and ask
a question arising from that experience. I hope you would be
kind to read through this email.
The Experience:-
This happened sometime in the Spring of 2011. I woke up very
early morning and went for a walk in the lake park near my house
in Vernon Hills IL. There was something special about this
morning as i was able to feel the essence of the trees as i
walked past them it was earlier than 5 am and was still dark.
With every breath i could feel the essence of everything around
me - strangely i could taste the trees and feel their
bitter-sweet lifeforce in me. I kept walking and reached a small
hillock where there is a canopy. I stood up on that hill and
gently started knocking below my navel with my fists ( i was
doing Korean Dahn Yoga those days).
After the knocking/tapping was over my whole body felt like one
electric current and in few seconds i felt absolutely connected
to everything around me. I was all vibration and extremely
present in the moment. I was capable of being immersed in the
moment in totatlity. I started walking back home and was able to
retain the electric feeling in my body - i was hypersensitive to
everything around me and felt an inexplicable bliss. I walked
almost half a mile absorbing this wonderful feeling - on my way
back home there is a sledding hill that, i climbed on that hill
still feeling connected and vibrating. As i was at the top i
rested for a minute absorbing the feeling further - the feeling
then slowly left me and i returned to feeling normal. This
lasted about 15 minutes.
The Question:-
How can i feel like that always? How do i retain the feeling if
i ever get it again. I have not tried repeating this process but
have medidated regualrly since the last 17 years.
Any comment, insight, message is deeply appreciated.
Sincerely
Ash

Dear Ash:
Welcome to the forum. Let me ask you a question, did you set out
that early morning with the goal of having this specific
experience?
Love ya, Jed.

Dear Jed,
Thanks a lot for the response.
I did not start out with any intention to have this experience.
I usually go out for morning walks as per the weather and my
sleep pattern - i can almost never sleep late in the morning :)

Dear Satori:
So, let's do the math. You didn't set out to have that
experience, yet it occurred, now you are setting out to have it
all the time. Don't bother. You have to sneak up on this kind of
thing, but I would suggest that you completely forget it and
just get on with whatever you are doing. Trying to repeat
experiences is a dead end, a trap.
Love ya, Jed.

Dear Reflow:
Forum rule: no cross-talk, i.e., don't comment on another
members thread. Each thread is dedicated. You may have missed it
as the rules are somewhat buried, intentionally.
Love ya, Jed.
