When you realize Truth does the personality/ego disappear? Is it
difficult to animate the personality? Do you loose it all
together? It took you 10 years to assimilate didn't it?

How can something disappear when it never really was? The magic
of a trick disappears when you know how the trick was done, but
was there any magic, or always just illusion. Residue of
personality often continues, just grooves in a record. No big
deal. It can often take considerable time to integrate the
experience of T/R, and yet, it's not an experience at all. It is
''all'.

Jed,
What I've come to conclude is that I have never experienced
anything "out there" my whole life! It's always been "in here".
Everything spoken, heard, felt and seen has all happened right
here appearing to me as... Sensation? How do I find out to WHAT
it all appears to without just relying on logic and reason but
experience. If I look behind me without turning my head am I
seeing the void by not seeing anything? Is that the experience
of who I am or am I just fooling myself? In font of me is
everything but behind or inside of me is blank. Is that it? The
"truth"? I mean it's nothing! No space, no blackness. The only
reason I can comprehend it is because I have somethingness to
compare it to.
Bernadette Roberts advises to cut off your head because the
"experience of no self" can't occur with the mind or intellect.
I still feel like these are just concepts to me and that makes
me doubt the whole issue.
Abiding non-dual awareness! I get that— all except for the
abiding part. How do I make it stick?

Hey Jed,
Been thinking some more. I'm a bit hung up on a little
something. Im doing more and more experiments to realize
who/what I am. One thing I've been contemplating is physical
movement in the body. I sure seem to have command over it–that I
am the doer, but at the same time I don't . Let's say I want to
move my finger. First an image appears and I sense the location
of the finger and then BAM the finger moves and I take the
credit of the movement. But not so fast. Who was the commander?
I would say it's the mind. But where is the self in all this? is
mind and self synonymous? It sure seems like mind's primary
function is to be a mirror for the self. The mind moved the
finger but in the background awareness was around it all.
In your experience who is the commander?
