Jed rant: On Christmas

Dear Members:
I would think that most of you already have guessed that I am
not big on Christmas. It's not different than any other day,
except that it brings the family together and that almost always
brings up stress, old hurts, disappointments and the like. If
not for you, then great. That would make you an exception.
My suggestion for Christmas is that you focus on forgiving.
Start with self and then others. And keep in mind that everyone
is doing the best the can with what they have. Forgive everyone
and everything would be the gift I would give you if I could,
but I can't. I can only wish you the best for the holidays and
the coming new year.

Actually, I do feel the way you have described :/ I tend to get
in this crappy mood around Christmas, but this year I have
decided that I would just simply not care about it, I mean not
like trying to pretend like it wasn't there or hate it or
anything, but you know... christmas shmistmas, who cares :)
I actually ended up buying lights and sh it. Weird :D
That is until I got home and got mad with my mom in like 5
seconds. :D When I go home I always think of Ram Dass' "If you
think you are so enlightened, go spend a week with your parents"
thing ... works every time :D
Anyway, Marry Christmas to you too, guys, and best of wishes for
the New Year :)

I love Christmas. Not what you wrote about it, but i love the
smell of the tree and tangerines,
i love the "vibes" in the air, and i definitely love the music
of Bach, we always listened to Bach
in Christmas when i was small. And why not celebrate the coming
of new light (winter solstice)?
There is nothing to forgive. Everything is as it is, and all
people do the best they can:) Away to eat a tangerine and listen
to
some Bach...
