Does humility seem like it's usually a manifestation of fear?
       Compassion? Are these just traps?

Never mind. I know they're just part of the game. I've been on
the verge of asking that question here literally hundreds of
times, and never let myself because I know it isn't a real
       question.
This last time I was just caught in a moment of extreme
       vulnerability and weakness.

I finally read read through some of BK's material, and in
conjunction with some posts about H/A on this forum recently,
got to THINKING about the whole topic (the irony there is not
lost on me, by the way)..
       - You can change your beliefs, moods and feelings instantly.
       This was a startling discovery.
       - Most folks' beliefs are tied up in entitlement, fairness,
lack, victimhood etc. Outside of doing away with belief
entirely, which clearly is not for everyone, why not just
replace the aforementioned system - which, I don't know about
you, but doesn't seem to be serving anyone I know too well -
with one that says "whatever is, is fine".

Two days after I posted the above, the person in my life I am
       closest with was sexually assaulted.
I guess this is The Test.

So on top of the aforementioned, a bunch of other crazy sh*t has
happened, all in the course of a week. Impossibly terrible
       sequence of events.
The lesson is: I'm not actually surrendering. It's just
repression under the guise of tiller-release. Never moved a
       fuc*king inch.
Too bad the lesson didn't point to an alternate means.

I'm not sure if you're being willfully obtuse in order to make a
point, or maybe I just phrased it poorly, but I had said:

The lesson is: I'm not actually surrendering. It's just
repression under the guise of tiller-release.
