       What I know and what I don't
By: Jed McKenna Date: July 16, 2021, 2:14 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Hello again - Zara here with a few thoughts about what’s now and
       what’s next . . .
       REACHING ME
First things first, if you’d like to reach me, please do so via
       my email:
       --- zarasongull@gmail.com ---
Jed divided his efforts across a range of emails. Rather than
attempt to monitor them all, I’m offering up mine. If there’s
anything you need, please email me and we’ll see what we can do.
In particular, if you are partway through The Navigator Series
or A Course In Manifesting, please send me a message letting me
know where you are in the process so I can facilitate you
completing the course, at your own pace of course.
       THIS FORUM
When you join a lineage or a religion, you get an instant
community - people who share practices and a vocabulary and a
set of beliefs. When you’re forging your own path, and
particularly if you’ve been disillusioned with religious
traditions, finding community is far more difficult.
Do you need a community? Probably. On the one hand, this journey
is always a solo one. On the other hand, we are social animals.
We need each other to do pretty much anything.
Some people go teacher-seeking to find guidance, to get unstuck,
to get help figuring out what the next step is. You may have
valued Jed in his teacher capacity because he provided
teacher-like support while eschewing many of the trappings of
       the teacher role.
You may have come here, however, not for Jed, but to be around
other people who seem to be on a similar journey to yours. When
we’re on the journey together, we can provide each other
reminders, encouragement, and the kind of sanity check you get
when you remember you’re not the only one grappling with the
kinds of questions you’re up against. Seeking the reality within
       the illusion is tricky business.
For some of you, the forum has been a place to be in ongoing
dialogue with Jed about the tricky business of discerning Truth.
I don’t intend to take his place playing such a role. In theory,
we could all play such roles for one another. For better or
worse, however, after attempting to foster such dialogue between
students in the early days of the forum, Jed concluded that this
was not the right environment for such conversations to
productively take place. As a result, I don’t have a clear
vision of what the forum might want to become after this
       transition.
If you have any wisdom about this, or any way you imagine the
forum might continue to be a helpful community environment for
you, please email me about it. I’d love to hear your thoughts
       and ideas.
       JED’S VOICE
One thing about the future of this forum is a no-brainer.
I have a number of pieces of Jed’s, in various stages of
development, that he’s never posted here. I’ll share some of
those from time to time. In particular, there’s a process he was
working on called Dying Well - very appropriate to the moment!
I’ll post that here soon, but only after posting his Full-Body
Breathing instructions, in audio format, which he considered a
prerequisite to the Dying Well process. Look out for those over
       the next week.
The body he temporarily operated may be gone, but he remains
distributed throughout many Word documents, notes, and other
textual representations. He'll continue to speak to us for some
       time through those.
       THE NEW COURSE
For those of you interested in the new course, you’ll need to
wait a while longer. I intend to complete it and deploy it by
       early 2022.
The provisional title for the course is Letting Go of
Everything. In Jed's previous educational efforts, his creative
style was spontaneous and intuitive, letting the course emerge
one module at a time and discovering as he went what came next.
We decided to create the current class far more systematically,
hence the long development time. It is much more extensive than
his previous classes. It is designed to remove, in sequence, all
the structures that maintain the illusions of the self and the
world. It is also meant for more advanced students - those that
have completed the Navigator Series and/or those with years of
experience and practice in other spiritual traditions.
Unlike Jed’s previous low-tech implementations, this course will
be a more interactive experience, residing on an actual website!
The Navigator Series, his fundamental-level course, will also,
in a somewhat edited, reorganized, and more interactive form, be
       made available on the web.
I’ll keep you posted about the upcoming course website, and
occasionally post bits or pieces from the new course here as
       well.
       TRUST THE PROCESS
Jed was always an anomaly and a misfit. We loved that about him.
I am just as much of an anomaly. So are you. Hence we find
       ourselves here together.
It is invariably the case, on the quest for truth, that wherever
you think you’re going is not where you wind up. The actual
journey is weirder and wilder than whatever you imagined it was
       going to be like.
When you let yourself be inspired by a true individual, like Jed
       - a free agent outside any tradition - the journey is even less
predictable. I don’t know where this journey will take us, but
       I’m glad we’re on it together - one strange step at a time . . .
       Love,
       Zara
