LUNCH
Whats for lunch darling?
I am hungry like a wolf
Havent eaten for days
Just breathed air and sipped water
But have had no real sustenance
I have not fed from the surplus
I have not bathed in the wealth
Which the sun has drilled into this earth.
Scorched earth and burnt skin
You have illuminated this dirt
And I hate you because you never asked
Whether or not I wanted to stay in the dark.
Darling, I was hungry but now I am hungry no more
I told you I was starving but actually I am full
The stomach is empty
This sorrow little acid pouch
But I am full
Full of myself
How can you fill space itself?
You, treasured warmth, you, fiery demon
You burn in silence
And scream at me in ways i cannot hear
I am deaf to your cries
And that is good
Your agony is my pleasure, your pain my relief
If I could I would beat you, singe you will burning metal rods
Now feed me and begone
For I want to sit alone with my hatred.

Hi Jack:
Thanks for sharing your poetry. I enjoyed it and think you might
like the blast I am sending out.
With love, Yours,
Jed.
