Response to student's question, ''What gets you out of bed in th
e morning?"
By: Jed McKenna Date: August 2, 2020, 2:36 am
---------------------------------------------------------
My Dear innocent-childishly-inquisitive-friend:
Permit me to answer your last question first... You! Keep in
mind, there is no such thing as self-sacrifice when there is no
self.
Now, on to other matters. Imagine that everything in this
universe was green... absolutely everything. Would you see
green... nope. Without red, yellow, blue, etc. green would not
be perceived. Now suppose some whacky guru type came along in
his green flowing robes. His green body bumps into your green
body and he comments, ''Have you noticed that everything is
green?'' You, as becomes your iron-clad intellect and impeccable
manners, respond so as not to offend him, with, ''Ahh.... yeh,
sure, whatever you say.'' and you part company with ''Sheesh,
what was he on about?''. The WGT just shrugs and walks on in his
green world, but the big difference, and the ONLY difference, is
he knows it's all green. Which brings me to my breakfast and a
most influential teacher.
I am currently eating eggs benny. Made by Jon, a excellent
Belgian pastry chef, and they are out of this world, I'll treat
you to them when you come here. Surprising what you can find at
the end of the earth, if willing to go there. The reason I bring
this up is they remind me of that enlightenment classic by the
good doctor, Green Eggs and Ham. A priceless contribution to the
green world and a constant bed-side companion in my early
monochromatic studies. Here are some memorable quotes:
''I do not like green eggs and ham. I do
not like them, Sam-I-Am. Try them, try them, and you may! Try
them and you may, I say.''
''Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one
alive who is you-er than you!''
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is
going to get better. It's not.
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind
don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it
happened.
It's a common misconception prior to T/R that it is a one time
event, a sorta digital affair. Initially it does appear so, but
there is much more to it. T/R is actually the true first step,
the beginning of an infinite revealing. (remember, infinity
never ends). Reflect for a moment on Nis's intensity, up until
on his death bed. Likewise U.G., he was still telling everyone
they were full of **** up until his last breath... and look into
the eyes of Ramana, a much more gentle but no less intense
experience. We will meet someday and you will understand more
deeply because at the moment, you are only beginning to awaken
from a deep sleep. You are slowly seeing green.
Now on to A Course in Manifesting and my initial sentences. If
there is no self, then who is there to hold an intention? (it's
not much about intention, but we will start there). Well, what
is a self but a collection of stories super-glued together by
various importances. That brings me to the essence of all
genuine spiritual teachings. They are truly impossible for a
mind to grasp. As with green, truth is everywhere and nowhere,
it's nothing and everything, it has no beginning and no ending,
however, it is continually beginning and ending in infinite
cycles... at the same time it is infinitesimally small and
infinitely large. It had no beginning and thus will experience
no end. Given such qualities and non-qualities, tell me what you
have to compare it to and hence comprehend it... to
non-truth???... good luck. There is no such thing as non-truth
because ‘nothing’ by its own definition, cannot exist….
otherwise it would be something.
The 'self' is an illusion, and possibly the most durable
allusion there is. It has much power when one believes in it
fully... and almost everyone does. It has the power to make you
rich or poor, happy or sad, healthy or not, calm or violent, and
on and on. You will notice I didn't say it would make you green
because you already are green.
But, from a little more practical point of view, re: ACIM, you
(yes, the imagined one) almost always lack the universally
untaught skills required to do what I might call 'tip the
scales'. You will never experience green, while appearing in a
body .... you can only ''realize'' that all is green. It's not
an experience, but a knowing. While appearing to be in the body
there will always be variations as variation is the only
constant of all experience. Everything in this dream is
continually in some kind of motion... however, it all is always
green. This is where the ''all is perfection'' experience comes
from. In the dream there are many things that are
less-than-perfect, but green is always perfectly green and
always there. How could it be otherwise?
I have told this story a few times, but that doesn't stop me
from repeating it. In the long ago, my wife and I were debating
something, I think it was our travel plans. This was not an
argument, just a debate. She paused and said (lovingly) ''You
bastard, you always get what you want!''. Of course, that is not
100% true, but it really hit me that I do seem to pretty much
get what I want. Those wants are not ridiculous MLM type Tony
Robins dreams... I am fairly practical. That realization led me
to reverse engineer what I was doing... what I had learned and
applied on my journey through the dream. I do not use this
technique, at least not consciously, any more, I have no need
for it, but in the past I did have and thus exercised it
extensively and it served me well.
I am running out of words and masala tea, so I'll wrap it up.
You have an illusory you and, counter-intuitively, it is a power
tool both for and against your journey. It behooves us to learn
how to use it and then, eventually, gently thank it and put it
aside. ACIM dovetails with the Series, and a number of students
have taken both. It does contribute to one’s H/A and anything
that contributes to H/A will bring you closer to the realization
that you are green. (O.K., I should probably spell that 'Green).
Someday, you might get out of bed with the inspiring goal of
pointing out to someone that this universe is Green. They might
listen to you as you are infinite love and nothing attracts
attention like loving others, even though there is no one to
love anyone at the level of Green.
Stay healthy, this ain't over yet, and you have a little work to
do.
Jed.

Currently, the need to try and wake people up that in the good
ole US of A, there is no two party system. Trump is a part of
the deep state/cabal/swamp. They ALL are. What we are witnessing
is just a bunch of puppets putting on a show to keep us divided
(because they've always known that if we were untied they could
NEVER defeat us), and also to keep us distracted from their evil
plan to roll out Agenda 21 in 2021. This includes mayors and
governors etc. Trump didn't lie when he said the swamp runs
deep. This also includes everyone from Hellywood, the music
industry and professional sports---all rigged by the way. They
are all a bunch of satan worshipping, transgendered, pedovores
and pedophiles--in my not so humble opinion. There's a good
amount of evidence on Jojo Wise's facebook page, and just watch
Frank Smith's you tube channel for some huge red pills--mind
blowing, and he shows the science behind it. Of course, I still
make efforts--seemingly, to complete this process of
Self-realization, it's just less time is spent doing that in the
past 2 weeks since waking up to what's really going on in this
world. I mean, at this point it seems common sense to me that
NO president is ever elected; they are ALWAYS SELECTED. There
are several families that rule this world---the food--I meant
chemicals we eat to the "health care" we receive after they've
poisoned us, to having to rely on them for EVERYTHING. They've
crushed how pattens that would help this earth and the living
things on it? Please don't think that they also don't control
who is their next sitting president...I mean puppet for the USA.
I think we are just the last domino...or the first, however you
want to look at it, before OUR OWN MILITARY IS USED TO
"VACCINATE" US, and if you think they don't already have it,
well then, you keep living in your fantasy world. I predict a
revolution and a civil war within a year here; I think that's
why we created and trained isis and MS 13...and they're already
here. Time to join a militia or expect to be slave labor real
soon.

P.S. Another source of evidence to the claim that trump is also
part of the deep state is on Jojo Wise's facebook page. Like
Frank Smith says, "This is NOT for cry babies!" I invite you to
take a gander, just look and listen to the evidence and then, if
you still want to say it's too far fetched, say it's too far
fetched.

Dear No-one:
I agree with much of what you said, and I welcome you to our
forum, however, I suggest you post that of type of material on
the Conspiracies and other alternative realities board in the
future. You are more that welcome to express your understandings
but please focus on the board you use.
When you talk to me about such matters, two things arise in me.
Firstly, you are probably 90 to 99 percent accurate, and
secondly, from the perspective of 'Truth', what you and I feel
and think about the 'system' is quite irrelevant... i.e., the
little picture is definitely not the big picture, it's just
entertainment. Enjoy it and play with it, but never, ever think
it is real.
The REAL game is not the human level government, educational,
institutional and legal garbage we are fed every day... the real
game is finding out who you really are. I urge you to stick to
that. Everything, EVERYTHING.... else, without ANY exception, is
a distraction from that. They system is Mayanic and designed to
do that. If you really seek to go against or correct the system
(and God knows it needs correction) find out FIRST, who you are.
That is all that matters... in the final analysis. Nothing else
is of any real importance at all... NOT AT ALL.
Much love and best wishes on your journey. If I can assist you
in any way, don't hesitate to ask me.
Jed.

Jed.. Its been a while since I was last here.. Hello and good
wishes.. Im once again stuck in the long standing quagmire of
manifesting blues so i thought to ask for your further thoughts
on " if there is no self than who is there to hold an
intention".. Let me say out of the gate i dont like to try
and manifest stuff because its all a thinking process which
takes me out of the present moment and into my mind trying to
determine what i should ask, how i should ask, (because god
forbid you frame it wrong,) my "higher self "to bring into my
life.. its a frustrating and maddenning experience because
what i honestly dont get is why would i need to tell my
"higher self " what it is that i need? right there is a
seperation. doesnt my higher self already know? . people talk
of cocreating and that also i dont resonate with.. there is
no two for a co creation!! it seems to me that my self, my
soul, my higher aspect knows already exactly what i need to
lead a fullfilling and joyfull life and i honestly resent
having to vocalize know and or determine what should happen
because ive stated what that should be.. and if i dont say
it out loud it wont happen.. its **** stupid! why would my
soul play games like that.. its torture for me.. i prefer to
act naturally as i pursue often blind but with absoulute
trust, what brings me the most joy and satisfaction.. ive
found that after much spiritual practice.. continuing to
develop what ive found, in my view, is the way that all else
shall be given uto you.. and therefore i need not fill hours
of each day with thoughts in notebooks about how when with
whom and what i want for that dream to manifest I totally
trust that every single piece of the dream will be there on
its own when iam ready for it to be there.. ide like to
throw every single manifesting idea straight into i to the
garbage forever and rest once and for all in the silence of
what my being is naturally doing.. my practice reveals
things little by little of what its mastery might look
like.. kind of like mini visions that give clues to what is
actually happenning and can happen if i keep developing. i
feel only the dedication to the practice and not towards
asking for ANYTHING else to be occurring.. this in itself
is my entire intent.. to be fully aware of myself in each
moment and to pay close attention to what is being shown
to me.. please give me your thoughts Jed, and i hope Ive made
some sense here.. i think i understand that you used to use
manifest techniques and it served you well but now you
have no need.. im sick of filling notebooks and thinking
period.. and ive never enjoyed it, ever.. such supplication
it feels, such a seperation!! for me its breath by breath
and feeling with zero words.. here as i write a volume! my
life sucks in many ways materially and i do suffer but i
also have found in the starkness and lack some real wisdom!!
steady steady as i go is all i can keep telling myself..
Thanks..

Thank you, Jed for responding. After 14 days of zero inquiry b/c
I've been obsessed, Ive made a move to get back to self inquiry
which REQUIRES a daily commitment on my part; at this point I
need that, because this sh** has got my head eff'd up.
All the best to you and your readers and students.
Oh man...thought just entered this mind: why don't you head over
to Jed's conspiracies and other alternative realities...geeze. I
will take a gander, hopefully won't remain there for hours!!!

and in response to this original question, what gets you out
of bed.. I actually really dont know.. sounds, reached my
sleep limit, a knock on the door.. what i do know is that upon
awakening im not thrilled to jump out of bed.. thats for sure!
its usually a groan for having opened my eyes and a quick
check in with how my body feels, a look at the clock and a
brief, too brief look at my dreaming or lack there of.. after
all this its usually tea or coffe first and then computer
for anything important and to begin the stimulation that feels
nice.. my computer has become my connection to life..
greatfull in part but would rather a differrent reality..
but as a recluse, my spiritual practice is my only focus
of activity for now as i hope for people connection at a
later time.. for my practice i need nature and i will spend
most of the day in the silence of my home waiting for sunset
where i will go into the day hoping my practice is fruitfull
and that as a result i might experience the joy of it.. i
would prefer to live in nature like the whales but ive not
reached that level of luck yet.. so becoming my full soul is
what gets me out of bed every day.. its never easy or as
consistant as i would prefer, but i do the very best i can..
finding the soul purpose for life is the reason for life and
it hasnt been easy, but iam great/ full to have the
opportunity to wake up..

Dear Prring:
Thank your for your post. I found myself glazing over while
reading it. Perhaps I am confused, but I ask that you re-write
it, reduce it to it's essence, whatever that might be, and I
will do my best to point or assist. Better questions yield
better answers.
Thanks in advance.

Dear No-one:
Good to hear from you, and that you are back to work. I warn you
that 'theories' can be quite habit forming. You need to take
them in modest doses and be very cognizant of your come-down and
recovery time. I recommend a good vitamin regime and avoiding
foods that don't contain any food... my latest diet. But, I am
now feeling the need for a hit, just a little top-up as we say
at CTANON (Don't worry, I will call my sponsor right after this
post).
Here you go, no, here I go with my top-up. So, what's with
'herd' immunity? In my early school years I was taught that
there were such things as a herd of cattle, herd of horses,
perhaps sheep or the like. I thought large numbers of people
were called a community, a group or a gathering, sometimes even
a congregation. A herd requires 'taking care of' or 'watching
over'. It is synonymous with flock, pack, fold and the like. The
word 'husbandry' comes to mind.
Do you think that 'community immunity' would not only be more
catchy (when we are all trying to not catch something) and a
appropriate term? Hmmm... are we really just a 'herd' and who is
responsible for our husbandry? Now, I am not saying it is a
conspiracy... just wondering and wandering.
Much love and keep that illusory body healthy, just makes for an
easier ride. Keep your hits little and far between. Unless you
have a truly addictive personality, you won't have any trouble
with such matters. BUT, they can sneak up on you and quickly
become a diversion. This is compounded as some folks who start
out innocently quickly develop a tolerance, not to mention the
remarkably long half life, which can run into weeks, months and
even years for those genetically predisposed to such (LD50 has
yet to be determine). If you find yourself checking up on
conspiracies at work or if you are paying more attention to
David Icke than your family, I recommend you find a sponsor
promptly.
I wish you the best always,
Love ya, Jed.
P.S. You might want to pass this site along to your friends and
relatives. It will assist them in dealing with you in a more
'humane' manner.

Ha ha Jed .. I do understand the glazing over part and im so
sorry.. im confused about manifesting.. it seems to me my
higher self or no self knows what to do in life and
manifesting techniques seem to me to be a self activity..
your comment Jed " if theres no self, then whos there to
manifest" makes sense to me.. ive a long standing confusion
with this because everyone in the world is talking about the
responsibility of participation in cocreating and therefore
living your dreams.. i just dont see it that way but if im
wrong ide like to change my approach.. I dont try to get
things in life. my main responsibility is the present moment..
so question is, can a person just relax with life and trust
that all will unfold when it is time, or do we actually need to
put energy into stating our desires so that we can have
them..i hope that was a little easier.. thanks
