       The meaning of "Drummer born"
By: Belmont Date: July 18, 2020, 3:29 pm

       Dear Jed,
Could you please explain what "drummer born" means in the
following sentence? It's an exert from PLAY.
       NURSE
Well, all the credit goes to our boys, of course. You can't take
anything away from them. They're out on that battlefield
marching to doom as if to the drummer born.
       Thank you.
       B.

''.... as if you a drummer born'' could be said another way,
''..... as is they were born into a family of drummers''. I.E.,
the drumming and marching come naturally to them.
       Love ya, Jed

       Thank you Jed.
       one more please.
Does "garden gate" refer to a specific place? I try to google
slang for "garden gate", and one of the meaning is "magistrate".
       correct?
       Thank you.
       B.

Though they'd've hung themselves from the garden gate if they'd
       known what was in store.

Garden gate does not mean 'magistrate', it means a gate
(opening) around a garden. And the point is that before they
left they would have killed themselves at the beginning it all,
if they had known how difficult and painful the rest of their
journey would turn out to be.
       Take care,
       Jed.

       Good morning Jed,
Who is Melva, Queen of All the Acrobats?
is Melva a fiction figure like God or Lucifer, or just a regular
person who is the best of all acrobatic dancers?
       Thank you.
No one, not the Lord God Almighty nor Lucifer, His Fallen Angel,
nor Melva, Queen of All the Acrobats, can possibly know if what
seems to be actually is what actually is. All, then – extending
this simple and irrefutable observation to its admittedly
       disappointing conclusion – is vanity.

       Love ya, Jed.

       Jed
It's just my guess. I tried to Google Melva + Queen of Acrobat,
       but came up with nothing.
Could you please explain a little more about Melva?
       Thank you.

My words to matter one little bit. This is about you, your
experiences, what's going on in your journey.
Please attach whatever meaning you want to anything that arises.
That's what you will do anyways, it's just how humans operate.
If I say it means 'blue' then you will think it means 'your'
blue. I may sound picky here, but this is a very important
point. No one has ever understood anyone and living proof of
that is no one has even understood themselves. How could anyone
understand that which is a total fiction.
       Much love, Jed.

Thank you Jed. I totally understand.
It's just that I am translating it to other language, so I want
to convey the original meaning as precisely as possible.
       Thank you for you time.
