A comic book that is not so comical.

Dear Forum Member:
Here is a comic book ;) ;) ;) published in 2012 in very
limited numbers, commissioned by and distributed within the
European Union. Only distributed within EU institutions. It's
got it all, failure of WHO to warn the world in a timely fashion
:P :P :P, wet markets, the lab developing pathogens in China
and the savior ( :o :o :o) of us all by global masters :D :D
:D, and then there is a little time travel thrown in :o :o :o.
Draconian solutions and social distancing wrap it up quite
nicely. I have said a few times that there is some unwritten law
that compels revelation of what will go on in our human dream
future. I think this is one comic that you will enjoy... but
remember, eyes wide open, no fear... it's all entertainment and
nothing more.
You thoughts are always welcome.
Much love and stay healthy,
Jed.

Back in 2006, our public health graduate school work included
pandemic response training, including disease vectors most
likely to trigger one - chronic wasting disease (check this one
out if you'd like to see a real nightmare currently in motion),
prions, and novel coronaviruses (SARS, MERS, etc.). Because
public/population health has been underfunded and undervalued
for so long it appears as if we've been taken by surprise by
Covid, but it isn't true. We've known for many years the dangers
of wet markets et al, where wildlife crashes into the food
supply because the carrying capacity of the land can't support
the overwhelming number of hungry humans. (If western countries
couldn't import food, we'd be seeing the same sort of situations
- again, check out chronic wasting disease for what's happening
and coming in the next few years.) I got into public health
because it was stripped bare of bullshit (ok - as free of
bullshit as anything can be in the this world) - where you can't
tell a fancy story because you're too busy cutting to the chase
to stop/curb the latest horrific epidemic. Here's something to
look at that isn't really part of the covid narrative - folks
with chronic disease (aka diseases of lifestyle aka overeating,
poor nutrition, lack of exercise) comprise almost all of the
deaths - diabetes, obesity, etc. And also why non-whites are
getting sick and dying from covid at twice the rate of whites -
they don't have access to fresh food (too expensive, urban food
deserts, etc.) But we still aren't really talking about this
because then we'd have to face white privilege and what the
rich/poor divide really means. So yeah, a comic like the one you
linked to appears as if it's a premonition, but what it really
is is some variation of an author who read a public health
pandemic preparedness manual and understood what was coming for
us . . .

A 2003 episode of the TV show "The Dead Zone" foretells the
chain of events leading to coronavirus pandemic, including
chloroquine.
This article link includes a 3 minutes edit that condenses the
salient points.
