Just occurred to me that the opposite of resistance isn't
non-resistance but welcome. Resistance is an action and
non-resistance is passive, as is acceptance, although welcome is
an action. Seems like the difference between non-resistance and
acceptance is the skin line, since honest acceptance begins to
blur the boundaries between 'in here' and 'out there'. And while
non-resistance is neutral emotionally, acceptance starts the
scale of love based emotions, of which I'd say unconditional
welcome= unconditional love, probably the closest we can come to
actual Love within the dreamstate.
The point of all this pedantic crap is this; if resistance gives
reality to the dreamstate does welcome negate its reality? If
the ego's fear of/ resistance to the world reinforces our
identification with it would loving/welcoming the world erode
our ego identification? And is it even possible to welcome the
vicissitudes of existence in the dreamstate without first
disabusing ourself of the underlying beliefs which shape it, or
does at least attempting to welcome in all that crazyass,
absurd, dadaesque garbage weaken the belief structures allowing
for more welcoming which would further disempower the beliefs,
etcetera etcetera etcetera ?

Tried doing SA/Work on what am I? Hard to find the edges of that
so I went to What is me? Lotta staring blankly into space. Then
I tried What is the truth of me? Threads to pull there. Was
actually fun realizing that since truth must be eternal and
changeless my body could not be true, and neither could the
apparent universe. Was deconstructing the idea of personality
when it pole axed me that Awareness, the only thing I could be
sure existed in the universe, could not be proved to be either
changeless nor eternal, and therefore I couldn't be sure this
Awareness transcended this illusory body and therefore existed
in Truth. Then I realized I had no way to know for sure that
Truth exists. I've read you and others saying finding Truth is
negating the false, but I thought there'd be something there
when the false was gone. I thought 'that which can't be simpler'
meant One and not Zero. And I remember you writing that your
First Step involved the epiphany that Truth Exists. Can you tell
me how you arrived at that? Or at least point a finger in the
general direction of the path which led you there?

I wouldn't dream of spoiling your fun. You are doing excellent,
figuring stuff out, dropping stuff along the way, just one
question comes to mind.
Tell me where you are?
Contemplate.
Love ya, Jed.

I am in Longview Washington😜
I am 1.0001 steps into the journey toward the nothingness that
is UT/UR😜
Define I?
I am everywhere
I am nowhere
I really don't know! But I'm gonna keep looking until I do,
provided my head doesn't explode, like it's felt like it would
several times today during the course of asking a couple
thousand times 'where am i'.

Serious about that 'Define I'
It's pretty clear that the personal awareness that I usually
mean by I is programming laid into the software by that idea of
singularity we call ego. Believed that before, know it now. And
so it doesn't exist anywhere but in my imagination. But the
impersonal awareness that exists as I when it has disengaged
from the stories (about 7 seconds worth an hour) still seems
located within the body, specifically within the senses. I can
see, hear, touch etc and know what I'm perceiving without
needing a label, albeit briefly. I keep wanting to, trying to
locate/ posit/ experience this impersonal awareness outside the
body but I can't see anything that my eyes aren't turned
towards, can't experience any perceptions of things my senses
don't engage. But the really cool thing I found today was that
if I eliminate the majority of sensory input and escape monkey
mind then I exist in a vast void which I fill completely. And I
lack for nothing there, until I latch onto another damn story.
So okay-further! Where am I during the void, and where am I when
asleep. Got it Jed. Back to the pressure cooker.

Still looking. As a sidebar there was an interesting realization
last night that surrender is not surrendering to, but
surrendering of. Surrendering of control, which was illusory
anyway. Not surrendering to Tao/God/Brahma but surrendering of
the belief that I was ever anything but Tao. Sidebar to that-
First line of Tao Te Ching literally translates as Tao called
Tao not Tao. Seems perfect. Not sure why everyone feels a need
to interpret and add on to it. Oh right! The great explainer of
ego!

Well Jed, I can't find me either. But I'm not giving up! Seems
the process of answering a question is that first I think I have
the answer, then I believe I have an answer, then I know I have
an answer, then I'm done with the question(which is still very
theoretical in itself cuz I ain't 'Done' with ANY question yet).
I know I can't find 'me' but I'm far from done with the
question. Gonna whack at it with Kiloby's Unfindable Objects ax
today, which comes at it from a slightly different angle. It's
turning out that the best thing about all these theoretical
beliefs I've accumulated about T/R is that it helps me recognize
that these insights aren't answers and answers aren't Truth.
Loving it,
Dan
