Started a new thread because I didn't know if the other one was
still working -
I'm starting to write about my mom a lot because you said that's
the place where this journey begins. Is it ok to write about
other things at the same time because there's a lot of stuff
coming up that I don't want here anymore.

Love ya, Jed.

Can you also explain the act of prayer a little more? Is it just
thinking and trying to reflect on what my authentic desires are?

I've been doing some work with students lately on ''desires''.
The interesting thing about desires is that they were labelled
by Buddha as the source of all suffering... and a desire (any
desire) can never be fully satisfied... because they almost
always will return at a later time. A fully realized desire,
such as for T/R, if completely ''done'' when met. But I would
call the desire for T/R a ''longing''. It's the only
''authentic'' desire anyways.
Prayer is best comprise of only one thing, expressing gratitude.
Love ya, Jed.

I've stopped trying to block myself from getting hurt just
throughout my day and it has started to open me up to a lot of
pain (but lessed suppressed now). Is this part of letting go and
should I continue in this direction?

Excellent, just continue in that direction.
Love ya, Jed.
P.S. The journey is the fun, not the destination as there is
none.

I find that when I surrender more I open myself up to the pain
and stop defending myself. Then I have no choice eventually but
to write. And once I write then I can surrender more and more.
This is how it looks like the process unfolds, like a cycle
