Jed Rant: Being free of me...

When one is deeply involved in the ''I'' thought it sounds very
strange to be free of it. How can you even carry on a
conversation without the use of ''I, me, my or mine'' words.
You were only pretending to have an identity anyways, so what
can be so fearful about seeing though it, moving beyond it, or,
and this is what really happens, realizing it never was anything
other than a rather silly habit fed by memories that don't even
belong to a you? If you can realize that your memories and
experiences are all the ''property'' of awareness, you will be
free of ''you''. Look and see.
You can still function fully, do what needs doing, etc., but
there is a strange, rather pleasant void that used to be you
oh-so-highly-valued ''you''. This can come suddenly or gently
and slowly. Perhaps because mine was slow it just didn't seem
like a big deal. No me is no loss. What was left was a tangible
feeling of openness and possibility. But that was quite a while
ago and if I were to look for a me, well... the just doesn't
       compute.
Look and see if you can find anything that actually belongs to a
''you'', if you can find something then ask ... ''is that
true''. If you still think it's true then turn awareness to
       inquire ''who/what is this I?".
Try making up a sense of you and then releasing it. Do it again
       and again... and,
       Let me know your experiences.
       Love ya, Jed

Jesús said "Deny yourself" but where is the "you" who denies
what is not there? Nice game and very tricky.

Yes. No, I mean no, no me here... but language needs the
"I-me-mine" form and when speaking about this apparent person it
helps to use the name "Frits" rather than using a number no one
can identify as that which is pointing at this apparent body.
The confusion within the dream would be a waste of nonexistent
time and effort if I'd start calling me "Peter" or "Paul" and
those names are just as untrue as the old name. So I have no
problem using the "I-me-mine" words or the name somebody
apparently labeled this apparent body with. I know there's
nothing here but apparent memories that make up this dreaming.
Obviously, unless you have written some books, no one believes
you and some may say: "you still use the name so you identify
with that name as being you." — But in fact they themselves
identify the name as a 'real thing' pointing at a body they
experience and apparently take for 'real'. It's really funny,
       really.

I don't know if memories and experience are "property" of
awareness but seeing they are not mine is what seems to release
the horror. I"" don't do this it happens on its own. Adding to
the list, "I" seem to hold on to dreams which never belonged to
"me" in the first place, possibly still under the umbrella of
memory but ultimately the product of ??? never mine.

After enlightenment I kind of became Love, Truth, Absolute
Awareness itself so... If someone calls my name, for me its only
meaningless sounds, It doesnt even register here. Same thing
when I look in the mirror... Theres just this clear, effortless
seeing that says "that fella is not me... Just a body/vehicle"
