what's what
By: eldonko Date: August 23, 2018, 12:09 pm

Hi Jed,
It seems like there is a pretty clear understanding that nothing
is mine, and I is just a sense of being in which everything
happens. This story of thought has such a magnetic power
though, that word I. But sometimes there is a distancing from
thought, and it is realized that the present is just what is,
and presence is a matter of attention. I mean sometimes there
is a letting go of attention on a specific facet of this
experience, and then awareness is expansive and free, and
everything keeps happening without it being personal. It seems
like the only thing that keeps the illusion of me and a world
going is the habit of focusing on it in that way, instead of
letting that go.
Is there any suggestion you have for how to generate more effort
in that way, how to speed things up? Or I guess the place to
start, is what I am describing valid at all?
Thanks.

Hi There:
Welcome to the forum and thank you for your question(s).
Nothing wrong with what you are experiencing. It's a necessary
step in the process. Keep in mind that the fortress called ''I,
me, my and mine'' has been built up over many years, perhaps
decades. In addition, that illusion of a personal self is fully
supported by societies and institutions all over you world. Maya
surrounds you... so what to do?
Keep doing exactly what you are doing, be patient and do you
best to avoid seeking specific outcomes. What arises, arises..
and in it's own way is perfect. Now back to work (gently).
Love ya, Jed.

Your response is appreciated Jed thank you.
Since the word surrender came up, it has occurred to me that
since nothing is mine there is a process that is taking care of
itself, and any other view is just thinking. A story line for
an epic hero. Well, maybe a mediocre hero.
Sounds like surrender is a good thing. How's that seem?
Thanks for the (gently), impacting.
:)

woops should have been 'since the word process came up'.
Apparently the word surrender is what is coming up in lieu of.

Haha what a silly dream to watch Jed. There was never a need to
fight with thoughts was there? They can think whatever they
want about it, it all just keeps flowing by regardless! A grain
of sand in a windstorm can think it is choosing where it is
going, haha.
Much love.
:D
