Speaking of the ineffectual tail chase that is traditional
religious belief, it was back when I was trying to untie my own
Gordian knot that I stumbled on a version of S/A. I wrote like a
fiend once I finally found one end of the rope that the knot was
tied with and what died first was the notion that some deeper
more correct secret truth lay hidden in the dusty tome's of
history. (old habits die hard as I was recently sucked into
buying a dusty old book on my "done" thread!)
It's easy to see why, Mormonism's "juice" is the book of Mormon,
supposed ancient scripture on golden plates dug up by a 14 year
old boy prophet and translated with the use of seer stones, wow,
great children's story! And the fastest growing religion on the
planet. (sheesh ::) ) The epiphany came that we are all
gardeners in the spiritual realm but most walked right past the
nice new John Deere tractor in their driveway with their name
monogramed on the seat, and headed down to the local church to
borrow the worn out wooden plow and oxen. Your "America vs the
Old World" spiritual truth diatribe in SIE reminded me of my own
little discovery way back when Jed. :)

To an adult that's so funny that it's not funny.
When I was about six years old my parents made me dress up and
go to church on Sunday. Pretty conventional Christian stuff,
nothing weird, but I objected to it.
When asked why I didn't want to go I responded by saying words
to the effect that all those people didn't believe in God, they
were just showing off. Then I went off to church like a good
little boy. When I got back home I did my mudras, chanted my
mantra, used my prayer beads, did a little yoga and read a few
pages of the Bhagavad Gita just to balance things out. Oh yeh,
then in I invoked THE RATH OF SHIVA... THE DESTROYER....
BAAAAD... BOOOOY.
Kids to the funniest things or is it that parents do the
funniest things? Maybe everything is funny and we are just
missing the punch line, us.

I really thought I could understand where you are coming from,
but now i am committing conspiracy so I guess what I really
learned is conspiracy (any agreement or disagreement) is false
and everything I do is based on conspiracy. This shit is
hilarious.

This was a good one! Thank you. Had not read it before now, cos
it's an old one. I suggest when one come across an old rant of
Sri Jeddi McKenna, one would scribble down a reply so new
members can see "hey, someone liked an old rant of Sri Jeddi,
let's check it out!".
Just a thought.
Anyways, good rant, liked it... further! ;D
