Jed, on the offensive about defenses
DIR By: Jed McKenna

An extract from a previous post. Please read slowly while
watching your response to it. Thanks in advance.
Simple, but not easy. I don't know if we have discussed this
one, but have you done Kiloby's vids on Unfindable Objects? Find
your sickness and the you that is ill. I highly recommend them.
Conserve your energy by not talking about yourself any more. No
one really wants to hear about you. They all just pretend.
Believe me, I know what I am talking about. No! don't believe
me, believe yourself. That's the source.
Dialogue:
Hi, how are you?
Well, not too bad, my backs been kicking up a little but the
twitch in my left hand is going away. I think the acupuncture is
helping. Got a great acupuncturist, used to be the royal
accu-guy for the King of Thailand, but now that the king is
dying he had to leave the country, met him in a book store in
Syracuse. He noticed a little growth on my right ear, it's dark
and irregular, said it might be cancer. Jeez, I don't know what
to do. Other than that, I'm not doing too bad. Wife left me last
week, said the drinking and smoking dope was getting to her.
Good thing she didn't find out about 'you know who' or I would
have lost an important body part. The guy from Thailand said
wives feed them to the ducks. I watched a documentary on that, a
doctor has done three thousand re-attachments in the past eight
years. Duck chewed ones are the toughest and the blendered ones
are impossible. Yup.. sure glad she didn't find out about 'you
know who'. As a precaution, I threw out the Blendomatic we had.
But, that's enough about me. Tell me... do you think I am
looking a little pale, you know.. peekid.. these days? I think
I'm losing weight, might to due the Chinese diet pills I got on
the internet. Make my jaws clench a lot. Now, what do you
suppose that is? Ah, probably just a little tension. That's all
it is, just tension. I'll just have a little smoke and feel
fine. Have you ever noticed how people don't listen to you? It
happens all the time to me, no one listen and understands me.
Just to be clear and for emphasis, no one gives a tinker's damn
about you, period. Getting that is one of the biggest reliefs l
could offer you. The freedom that comes from this kind of
honesty is amazing. Of course, the corollary also applies, with
the exception of West Africa. There they really do give a damn
about you but it's not quite the same... they only give a damn
about whether or not you have symptoms.
Not giving a damn, or hootlessness as L.L. used to call it
doesn't mean you are a bastard and ill-willed, it means there is
little or no 'you' in everything you do. Things don't go better
with Coke, things go better without 'you' in them. The more
'you' the more screwed up things get (a generalization, but look
around 'you' and see for yourself).
That's a very condensed version of a huge topic. Just try it on
for size. Also, it's important that I have offended you here, I
make no bones about it. The only thing that can be offended is
something that requires defending and this is all about de fence
(please say with French accent) that you built. I want for you
to break that fence down into recycled toothpicks. Then compress
the toothpicks into press-to-logs and send them to Nepal where
they have burned all their trees down (I spoke to the Dalai
about it and he said they didn't have many trees to start with
so it's not their fault).
Love ya, Jed.

Jed, you are making me grin.
I come here to get things out of my system, not for 'love',
although seems as we exchange energies here - the 'give and
take' takes place and all is fair, and in that way we are loving
each other. EVERYONE, without exception, enjoys the sound of
their own voice (you too, you liitle (or big?) vampire) lol
This place IS fun and is self perpetuating, like a roundabout.
will go on forever, as long as... YOU live forever hahaha!
Which you won't. Bummer!
It's all about the energetic exchange.. like sex. Sooooo-oo
intoxicating, and everyone is having one continuous orgasm. And
why not?

I noticed this in myself last night. A girl asked for my number
through a friend and we ended up chatting for an hour. I kept
noticing the compulsion to talk about myself, to describe
myself. At certain points I was just waiting for her to stop
talking so I redirect the conversation back to me. I do love
very much to talk about myself.
Maybe we are all the same, just attention addicts desperately
seeking our next fix.

Next time, I better bring protective equipment with me when
feeding bread to some streetducks. Never knew they can be THAT
savage!

I mean, what the hell would you talk about but yourself? We must
feel/know on some level we know nothing about others, they are
quite literally strangers. And I talk about myself because I am
a riddle, even tho I fel familiar to me. When I go through it
carefully and try to compose all the snippets I have every
characteristic ever found. Its just that certain people see
certain parts and vice versa.
That aside, its a fucking RELIEF , and it always has been this
prospect since the first Mckenna tm book I read, that I dont
have to talk about myself, that it is not necessary. I think I
realized a long time ago that it takes a lot of pedigree to get
something substantial from all the self-talk, like your parents
and grandparents have got to know how to do it right and then
you are taught, otherwise I dunno, in my case it always felt
like enrolling in a deeply wrong college. I always did it
because on some level I thought it would benefit me, because I
saw how it benefited other, but I could never put myself , my
full weight behind it.
This way, the SA, you talk to yourself about yourself the whole
day, its social media on steroids.
So here I am, changing vocations.

Looking back, I noticed this in a conversation with a friend
recently. He's one of the funniest people I know, but he was
talking about an injury he'd got and it was so boring to listen
to. It was a bad injury as well, but I got tired of hearing
about it fast. I've listened to his 'problems' before, but then
it was funny and a good story. This showed my true colors - if
I'm not entertained, I don't care.
I think a way to get people to realize how uninteresting what
they're saying is, is to really listen to them. When you're
really there for them, without saying too much yourself, they
might wake up a little. I talked with another friend and I gave
him my opinion on something and I immediately regretted it. Why
was it so bloody important to give it? The quality of the
conversation subtly suffered because of it. I was attached to
the topic, and that is annoying for everyone that has to listen.

Honestly, maybe all of us are looking for whole-ness/
acceptance. In our converstations we scream: "ACCEPT ME" cause I
can't accept myself. I can't accept myself not like this
......Not just yet, but maybe whan I'm enlightened, or when I'm
thinner, or when I drive a big car, or when I'm healthy then I
will be able to accept myself.
Maybe waking up is dying from this need of acceptance because
acceptance is already and always the case. Hilarious isn't it?
