Hi Jed
Few days ago I get know your name and I read 1/4 of "Dammnest"
book. For last few years I'm exploring nature of mind,
consiuncess etc. From Psychology, NPL finally I stick to
spirituality, so of course I start explorin my own mind.
I do some meditation and want to ask you for advice. When I
meditate (observing my own mind, how the impermanet thoughs
arrive and pass) sometimes I get some sensations (visualistion)
like: I feel I'm seeing everything (like universe with stars)
and I feel I have no eyes, no body. I try (in this
visualisation) to look at myself (where naturally are my foots,
chests) and when I look - I see empty space - like I'm the
mirror which is reflecting everything.
This makes me "strange" - I feel confused but excited. It is
like beeing totally scared and in extasy in the same moment.
Then when I finish meditation - my "thinker" mind is explaing to
me, "It is just a dream, it is not real, it is fanatasy." I know
it is my "dream" but some part of me wants to believe it is
important.
Any thougts from you?
Thank you in advance.
Jacek

Hi Jacek:
Welcome to the forum and thank you for sharing your experiences.
Nothing at all wrong with what you are doing, I think it's
excellent. Just keep doing more of it. Remember to breathe
properly and be very patient.
Maya/ego wants you to believe your experiences are important,
but they are not. In Truth, nothing is important, ever.
Important is a mental concept.
Regardless of fear, excitement or feelings of euphoria, ignore
them all and just stay with what you are doing. It is perfect..
for you at this time.
Love ya, Jed.
