Belive in something

I am reading your books, they are the best ideas i have read
since UG Krishnamurti, the BIG difference is that you say that
it can be done, UG said that it can not be done (enlightment).
and i am happy to hear from you that words.
Please answer me this question: Is all about belive in nothing
at all? and if the answer is yes, how on earth can someone
belive in nothing. Gracias, Saludos desde Colombia

Buen dia Albrenpaso. Bienvenido all foro.
You present a good question and it goes to the heart of the
matter. First of all, no one can ever become enlightened because
there is no such thing as a ''person'' who could do it. However,
realization of your True Nature can, and does, happen. I have
called it T/R or Truth Realization. It is the realization that
Truth Is.
Regarding beliefs, ALL beliefs are made up. Some may be quite
practical on the human level, but humans forget that they are
all made up and then live their lives as if they were something
real. You probably no longer believe in Santa Claus, and that is
an example of a belief being seen through. You don't destroy
beliefs, just be very aware of them and that is all that one
requires. If you believe in nothing, or don't believe, it's
quite unimportant. ''Enlightenment'' or T/R goes way beyond any
beliefs or any need to believe anything.
I hope that assists you a bit, but write any time.
Love ya, Jed.

To be conscious of something you need thought? Please look very
closely at that believe. If you think it's true, I suggest deep
investigation. You only think you need to have a thought, and
that's just a flimsy thought propping up another flimsy thought.
Thoughts are to be loved, to be cherished, to be understood in
depth. In the end they are simply seen through for what they
are. Then you will get a sense of what thoughts appear in, the
infinite context that I call ''Truth''.
Love ya, Jed.

Hello Jed
Now I have read all your books, the last one Dreamstate for me
is really a jewel of wisdom. this book is something everybody
must read.
Now I think I have understood everything about enlightement, but
only in theory not in practice. I have understood that
enlightement consist in find inside me, my essence, my "I". It
is not belifs, It is not my brain, it is not my thoughts, it is
not a part of my body, it is not something that i learn, is more
than that,
Is the conciousness in me that sees everything,
that conciousness in me is part of everything (universe, God)
and when I could find my essence I become part of everything
and I will be also the everything.
Am I in the right track or Maya is playing with me again?
Muchas Gracias

Surrender
By: abranpaso Date: May 3, 2017, 11:09 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Hello Mr. Jed
I have a strange an crazy step in this crazy and strange journey
to enlightenment, this step is called Surrender.
Everything says to me that I have to surrender, but I do not
know exactly surrender to what.
The first thing that comes to my mind is that I have to let all
the bad things happen to me without doing anything, or that I
have to not take care of myself and do not protect myself and
give up fighting against this world.
I am very afraid that if I do not take control of all situations
in my life, I will end very soon broke and dead.
This is my question:
In the pursuing of the truth, what is the meaning of surrender?

Good question Ab... so, look around you at what appears to you
in this moment. Precisely in this now moment, change it.
Here's an example. There appears to be a car driving by me right
now. It appears a golden brown color. I can accept that, or I
can not accept, i.e. I can surrender to it ''as it appears''.
It's just a brown car. Now, to not surrender would be to say...
make it a bad car because a similar one drove over a cat when I
was you.. or I might not surrender to it by saying it's a crappy
color, it would be nicer if it was browner, or more golden.
Taken a little further, I might surrender to it in this moment,
it's just a brown car, and then think ''Hmm... let's see what it
could look like as a golden one... and reach for a can of spray
paint.
The reality is you only ''think '' you have free will, and that
that is going to protect you from some future catastrophe. You
don't even know what your next thought will be and you have no
idea what you are going to do about that thought. Where is the
free will in that? You can't even control your thinking.
Maya/ego is playing with you. No one has free will, everyone is
operating out of a model of existence and instincts which are
all quite old fashion and demonstrably dangerous to our illusory
future. You are driving you car while looking in the rear view
mirror. And... perhaps even more strange is, you think you are
progressing.
If you want any chance whatsoever of improving the future, it
all starts with total unquestioning surrender and acceptance of
that ''appears'' to be now. This requires a certain degree of
adulthood and is still in the dream, but it can make the dream a
lot more fun.
So, up to you ::) ::)
What little thingy could you surrender to, fully and in this
moment? And remember, none of this is real, but knowing how to
play the game is just more fun. Could you surrender to not being
able to surrender. It's a start.
Love ya, Jed.
