Say What Again?

Hello,
It took quite a while for me to finally decide to post a
question. Each time I was about to post a question I sort of
realized it was moot.
Yet I feel compelled to ask: is there an end to the "???" state?
I guess what I'm trying to ask is whether the mind/ego/whatever
can reach a point when it accepts that there is no
real/definitive answer to any question that arises in itself.
Then again, why do I ask? Oh, I'm looking for
attention/validation/whatever, aren't I? I seem to have
perpetual brainfarts. Damn!

Hi there:
Welcome to the forum. In my experience the mind/Maya/ego doesn't
really exist so you question does not compute. However, you are
correct in that mind/Maya/ego is here just to get attention.
Love ya, Jed.

Hello,
In my experience, the mind/Maya/ego does seem to exist. I guess
the keyword here is *really* as in "doesn't really exist".
My ego (I?) got the attention it needed for now. I have no
question for the time being. But I may again later on.
Thanks.

Do you have any other recommendations besides Ramana and
Nisargadatta? Or would this instead lead down the path of
earning a "Ph.D. in waking up"?
Thanks.

Those two have the highest references that I can give. Now...
you have to be careful about the Ph.D.
Do you know what a Ph.D. actually is and the process to get
one... a real on, not a fake one?
The challenge with the issue of waking up is that no amount of
intellectual study of the subject will get you anywhere. Neither
R. nor N. had anything more that some very basic primary school
studies.
I realize you may have been using that term in a somewhat
exaggerated manner, but it really does raise a point that I want
to impress upon students. Studying is of very limited value,
doing is much more useful and, if you can just be, well... not
much more than that is called for.
Love ya, Jed.

If by "real one" you mean in what you qualify as the dreamstate,
then yes. And I can tell first hand it doesn't help much.
So I guess it all boils done to doing instead of studying?
Students should drop the studying and start the doing?
Thanks.

Find out who realizes that and the process. No more is required.
Love ya, Jed.

Hello Jed,
I got a question (although probably irrelevant): what is
"meditation" exactly? How can anything subjective like that be
taught/shown to somebody else?
Sorry for the noise.
