Jed Rant: Something from Nis.

Frequently forum members share experiences that they think are
''special''. In most cases they seek some such confirmation from
me. I usually give them a pat on the back and almost inevitably
tell them not to try to repeat the experience. In my experience
one should never try to repeat any experience because T/R is not
an experience. Here is something Nisargadatta expressed well.
... all experiences will lead you to is more experiences. Expect
nothing from experiences.
But hey, don't stop sharing your experiences, not for
reinforcement but just to get them down on paper and out of the
way. They will get in your way, big time, if you let them. Just
thank them and say... further.
Love ya, Jed.

Experience arises with the imaginary creation of the ''I''. With
the disappearance of the ''I''', so goes experiences... time and
the universe as well.

Isn't experience only the story the "I" tells itself to make
itself believe it exists as that specific "I"?
And isn't every story untrue? As is every specific "I"?

I pretend this rant has ever happened. Nor did I read here
anything. I can think I do, just think about it. But that ain't
truth.

What I Am is Truth and Truth (the Infinite Capacity for all that
appears) never experiences anything. It's a little like a giant
window. Light just goes through it... assuming that it's not
covered with the dust-of-Maya. This is the reason that the
universe disappears upon full-blown T/R, there is nothing to
resist it. Experience is only resistance to an arising. The
universe and all that appears to arise in it arises solely via
resistance created upon the arising of an ''I am''. What I
(really) Am is not that I am, however, staying with that I am is
an excellent contemplation and was used by Nis as directed by
his Guru (Hindi for ''teacher''). Ramana described that
contemplation as ''Go back the way you came''. The way you came
is through the creation of the I am.
Within Truth there appears to be a body, but that is not What I
Am. That body and attendant bodily experiences (what I appear
to be) have nothing to do with What I Am.
If you find that confusing, excellent. Please re-read it...
frequently.
Love ya, Jed.

Experiencing happens, or so it seems, no fuzz.
When this experience gets judged, based on 'knowledge' (from
'experiences from the past' - memory basically), there arises
the sense of 'I', being in control. The projection of this
imagined 'knowledge' as being true / Truth arises with it. Which
is (causing the illusion of) another 'experience'.
Only option is, sit back, watch the show, and see how effortless
action 'happens'.
While all the while, all of that - including what's shared here
- has nothing to do with Truth whatsoever. (That would need
something like knowing the unknowable, which would be quite
impossible.)
At least that's how it 'seems to be experienced' 'here', atm.

You can never be aware of Truth. That would make you great than
It, able to embrace it. These are not possible because Truth is
infinite. T/R is realizing that Truth Is, which can be done,
even though it bears a variety of names, they all point to the
same thing.
Measuring is pretty abstract. I suggest you just keep doing what
you need to do. T/R may or may not happen and it's not up to you
because there is no you.
Love ya, Jed.
P.S. Please don't ask who wrote this because I have no idea.
