       Jed Rant: Declaration of War
   DIR By: Jed McKenna
       Date: October 24, 2016, 5:35 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Every human does it (birds don't do it, bees don't do it, even
       trees don't do it).
It begins to manifest at about two years of age with children
realization that they can just say ''no''. Paradoxically, they
want to "know" everything and want to "no" everything at the
same time. Slowly and in an almost seductive manner, that power
to say ''no'' morphs into wants, needs, judgments, shoulds,
shouldn'ts, denials, and just plane refusal to accept/see what
is and to let it be as it appears to be. This is the equivalent
to a soldier carrying a huge backpack full of food and
ammunition plus a heavy rifle and a few grenades for good
       measure.
Around the time they ''should'' (there I go) be an adult their
perception of this amazing illusion has been dumbed down, grey
scaled out, pixelated and generally become what's sometimes
called a grind. And it truly is a grind until one realizes there
is no war. There is nobody who could ever be at war and there is
no one or thing to be at war with. There never was because there
only is One. It was just a little habit that became a big habit
       and sorts locks in place.
The first thing to do is realize what is going on. You can
expect to stand out like a pimple on a babies butt because it's
most likely that no one else around is the least bit interested
in your declaration of a truce and freedom. Maya/ego loves war.
It's all around us. Wars tend to make one focus and sometimes
feel alive, until they burn out/up and spend that last half of
their lives trying to figure it all out... which is pretty
difficult while remaining inside their war model.
Back to the first thing you might want to do, see it, look for
it. I assure you the war metaphor holds for just about every
facet of human life... BUT.. don't try to change anything until
you have seen it for what it is. A lie, and lies are used to
hide or cover over something. In Truth, there is no war, it's
just an illusion but a durable one. Why live out the rest of
your life based on it, the Illusions of War.
Do you really have a choice? You do if you pretend to. You are
not really at war but are effectively pretending to be so why
not pretend you have a choice. Go for it, you have nothing to
       lose and EVERYTHING to gain.
Relax, breathe and let everything be as it is.
       Love ya, Jed.
       P.S. Your feedback is welcome.

Paradoxically, they want to "know" everything and want to "no"
       everything at the same time
This sentence seems to imply that saying "yes" to everything is
       to "know" everything.
BUT.. don't try to change anything until you have seen it for
       what it is.
That's a little paradoxical considering that you'll by trying to
change your current perception of (presumably) not seeing what
       it for what it is.
I spent a long time trying to understand your post, it had me
searching up and down through the paragraphs and I declared war
on some of your metaphors. The maya loophole to it all would
seem to be saying no to saying no... maybe the response would be
to pretend I'm saying no to saying no
I've read the choice paragraph about 20 times and I'm confused.
Do you mean to pretend you have a choice about whether or not to
say no, or just pretend you have a choice in a non-directed
       sense?

       Dear DT:
You raise a good point. How good are you at entertaining
paradoxes? It's a pretty good indicator of your chances of T/R.
Everything about T/R is paradoxical and doesn't make sense. You
are everything, nothing and don't even exist. Everything that
will happen already has happened and nothing ever happened. No
one has ever been ''enlightened'' yet upon realization one
realizes they (and everyone else) was always enlightened. You
get to finally see the universe and it disappears. The real you
is pretending to be a human you, dreaming ''you'' up if you
will. You are being lived and breathed... but by what or who?
You don't have free will because everything is decided before
you become informed of it ... but you can pretend to have free
will... so why not do it?
Once again, you can't reason this venture out, you can only give
up and then perhaps... get it.
       Love ya, Jed.

I believe (there I go again) that a 2 year olds "no" is just a
response to forces that are trying to take away their "know".
They already "know" from inception and are immediately from the
first "Sshhhh" they hear, being molded into the clusterfvck that
they will call "me" the rest of their life. Unless...

       Hi all:
I do believe that I have declared war on the negative ego,
which can be called the parasite, Maya, or the flyers
(Castaneda). It has a few names but is all the same thing. I
think that even naming it is good, because having a word for
something helps me to keep it in mind. Everything that happens
now seems related to the negative ego. But I can get distracted
into the old patterns and false beliefs. So to me the
declaration of war is against the negative ego....which seems to
be fighting back and also thinking it is smarter than I am. The
key for me is to keep remembering what I am about and not become
forgetful. I am not relishing the battles. I used to think I
was a pacifist. One thing I have discovered working with the
negative ego is that if I pretend to be crazy when it is talking
to me, it shuts up! I think I am on to something because maybe
the negative ego cannot understand anything that we humans
cannot understand.....and as humans we definitely do not
       understand craziness.

"Do you really have a choice? You do if you pretend to....so why
not pretend you have a choice."
I've been circling around this for a bit lately, I am really
glad to hear you say it. It's like that idea, wherever it was
from, that the individual does not really exist, but if it
believes it does it might as well use it's supposed will to see
       beyond it... or do whatever.
       Now that's a paradox.
I guess it's a matter of perspective, whether it's the ego
talking or the witness of the ego. The ego chooses, but from the
witness' point of view the ego isn't real. It's just a wisp,
dancing the illusion of choice. So I choose on one level, but
from another watch choosing unfold without ownership.
       Weird how fluid/flexible "I" is.

       Jed,
"don't try to change anything until you have seen it for what it
       is"
I hear all the time from many teachers that even the seeker and
seeking needs to be dropped or seen through - but that it
usually happens after the initial awakening of realising what
you are not. Is this also what you meant?
Does the seeking need to be fully exhausted, even though the
whole time i deeply suspect, but havent realised fully, that
       there is no one seeking?
       thankyou

Fully exhausting the seeking it something that is necessary, in
my experience. It just comes with time.
       Love ya, Jed.
