Dear Members, Lurkers, and whomever:
I wanted to stop helping people years ago and that brought me
to the realization that:
1.) Nobody that I have ever met genuinely, profoundly, honestly
and at the deepest level really wanted help... they only wanted
attention/ acceptance/love. Their problems and challenges
were/are life to them and whether or not I could make a
difference, they really wanted their problems, clung to them
with a death grip, and that's why they had them... to create
meaning, drama and importance in their lives.
2.) Eventually I realized there was no one there who I could
possibly help. They where just dream characters within my dream
and as such, of no real substance. I can only assume it, but I'm
pretty sure that I am just a dream character within their dream
as well.
Within the foregoing context I realized that awareness was the
solution. It is the universal solvent and really the only thing
that those dreamed characters wanted or needed. My awareness
created them and took care of all that needed taking care of...
and likewise, their awareness created and took care of me and
all I needed.
I'm not big on the Bible, only a handful of things in it that I
agree with... and this is one: You are your brothers keeper...
and the corollary also applies. Perhaps a better interpretation
of the original text would be ''you create your brother and he
creates you. ergo, take good care of what you create''.
Another way of looking at this is you are an actor in everyone
else's movie... be a good actor and they will be a good actor in
your movie.
Yes, yes, yes... there is no you and there are no others... I
agree... but your space suit is here for a little fun and some
varied experiences. Are you having them? Act as best you can but
never lose sight of the fact that you, and everyone else, is
just acting. It's all make believe. You make up your beliefs and
you believe what you make up... marvelous, magical, wondrous and
without any parallels.. the best experience available to you is
to awaken to the above and thus to your True Nature.
Plan B: go out and have some fun. Play with children, the dog,
have a beer with friends.. just enjoy yourself. Right now I am
in a restaurant on the banks of the Mekong. They have the best
Mexican (yes, Mexican) food I have ever had and the kindest eyed
most gracious beggars one could ever meet. I am lucky beyond my
wildest dreams to have you as my creator. I thank you from my
heart. Let me know if there is anything I can do to be a better
actor in your dream/movie.

Wow that's me(who?). Begs the question of why I would want to
point it out.

I'd love to be sitting there with you eating mexican food with
lots of chilies and watching the river flow by. :) I love
southeast Asia...and spicy food.
