Smoke's Pet Suggestions

Smoke having a pet related to the seemingly dark and shabby side
of having the beggar job could be interesting. It could bring
him trouble ^^ Real animals pictured as shady by most people
would be rats, bats, spiders, insects or most cold blooded
animals (but since reptiles are against him, he'd have to get it
from an egg).
On the other hand, a pet helping him beg would be fun too: a
monkey or a charmed snake. ;D
And a wild idea for the end, why not a Kuriboh like pet? The fur
ball from Yugi-ho, it could just grow into anything

What pet I think is best suited to Smoke is like someone said
that it should also be related to his beggar job.[quote

But there is a small problem, this way the story won't get
interesting (It can and I am sure John Nest would be able to do
it). At least it can be a pet that people underestimate but only
useful in 1 way with Smoke using that usefulness in other ways
like he always did. Using ideas never thought of! I think a
slime would be funny but not exactly right for him. Can't think
of a great pet.

Sure, my suggestions are nothing but normal animals. I should
have been more precise by saying that these ideas were to be an
inspiration. Those animals would have to be extrapolated to
monsters/pets. (ex: red fox -> kitsune ; chimpanzee -> Monkey
king) or could simply be a plain and kinda lame pet no one would
use but the MC.
In my opinion, there is a high chance that his pet will/should
be usefule to Smoke in a way. Otherwise I doubt he'd get it in
the first place. (well, Smoke is a softie)
I can't help thinking that having an annoying / unhelpful and/or
prideful familiar (for short: a pain in the a...) would be nice
to read. That surely would bring Smoke some problems, but isn't
his luck at 999 ;D

Huhu, I pictured something funny thanks to the suggestion I
made. It would be more accurate if it were to happen with Weed
from LMS but whatever...
Smoke forcing the Monkey king (if it exists) in one of those red
uniforms to do street performances to get some money.
