off to the dyno...

Well, looks like the car is ready to go to the dyno!! Going to
do a power run first and then a tuning run to see if we can sort
the ignition and fueling timing on the Omex 600.
Will post results and full spec when done. They have a bit of a
back log so will drop the car to them over the weekend and see
when they can do it.
Wish me luck!

Great stuff Stu...look forward to it!
Get the RR results up bud...best of luck.
We managed to squeeze 124 at the wheels...around 148 at the
flywheel. ..from a VAG trophy car today...1800, ported head, 296
cam...was a nightmare to get there on k-jet but sorted in the
end.

Ok, I picked the car up on Saturday and my word it goes much
better now! Pulls cleaner and has a fair bit more torque. I was
surprised by the dyno however as it returned 119bhp.. 4 down on
the previous run. I take into consideration that it is a
different dyno.
Rolling road results now baffle me.. the mk2 is now quicker in a
straight line than my remapped 320d sport bmw and that puts down
186 bhp, admittedly its alot heavier than the golf but my bmw
eats mk2's with ease.
I have still yet to get the compression gauges on the mk2 so
there could be more work to be done there.
Here are the results...

Good to hear a better result Stu. Yes you'll get a variation
with dynos so no panic there.
The odd thing is it sounding a lot quicker than a tweeked
320d...your current power is only approx 10hp up from std...
:-\...still the results/feel are the important thing.
Get this compression test results up.
