Started life with me back in `99` as a standard 1600 GTI ... no
sunroof. Purchased from Tim Stiles and converted `as a replica`
of his own OKU ... 1800 / 285`& solid lifters / KJet & KStar
KS301 / Quaife ATB / Koni Sport kit / TSR 270mm `big brake` kit
& Pagid FR pads with Recaro SPG seats / OMP Corsica wheel /
Yokohama A508 & A510 tyres on 14" steels

Used for road class hillclimbs / sprints / trackdays for the
next five years whilst undergoing further improvements ...
Gemini 5 speed gear kit / bolt in rollcage - 12 point / Geoff
Thomas - Volksport, HD front engine & gearbox mounts / polybush
steering rack mounts & rear beam bushes with Yokohama A032R
tyres on 14" Compomotive MO`s

2006 saw further changes ... 2000 16v (9A) / 290` Newmans &
solid lifters still on KJet / Leda coilovers with front
eccentric top mounts for 5` positive caster / Fuel cell & pumps
in spare wheel well
Has not been in use since :-[ due to having another Golf (Mk2
16V) and work commitments, one day it will return to the hills

Thank you Robin ... a few bits I`d missed:
Lower (adjustable) chassis brace / upper suspension turret brace
(removed when 16v fitted) / harness bar incorporated into
rollcage rear `stays` / Willans harnesses / Omex adjustable rev
limiter (removed when 16v fitted) / Lifeline plumbed - in & hand
held extinguishers / Ashley manifolds (8v & 16v) / Supersprint
exhaust / Kent vernier cam sprocket 16v
Yet to be fitted - Quaife high ratio steering rack (internals) /
adjustable intercam timing sprocket

Wiscome Park / New Brighton / Aintree / Three Sisters /

Do have some 6.5J x 14 BBS RJ`s (?) off an E30 BMW which I ran
with at Gurston once. Originally ET30 but since machined to ET35
... are those what you mean ?

AH Fabrications foam filled tank & swirl pot
Tank - Facet Red Top pump - swirl pot - injection pump -
accumulator - supply & return lines inside - return line to
swirl pot - tank vents to top of offside wheelarch via a
rollover valve - filter in engine bay, lines & filter heat
insulated

The Gemini gear set gave 50mph in first and 105mph in fifth, got
there PDQ ... superb at Knockhill ;D
Hoping for a little more from the 16v ;)
